DIY Strawberry Facial Scrub
This strawberry scrub is the perfect natural exfoliator. Not only do these berries leave your skin smelling yummy, but the seeds provide a scrub that isn’t overly harsh on sensitive skin and the berries also nourish the skin with a bit of vitamin C.
The lactic acid found in the milk used in this scrub also helps slough away dry skin while avoiding the redness and irritation that can accompany store-bought scrubs.
Rice powder also acts as a natural scrub that can be found in the baking section of most supermarkets. These three natural exfoliators will get rid of pesky dry skin and leave your face with a radiant glow.
Materials
- One-half cup of chopped strawberries
- One tablespoon of milk
- One tablespoon of rice powder
Step One
Pour strawberries into a bowl and crush them with a spoon. You can also choose to crush the strawberries after you add the milk and rice powder, but I’ve found that it’s a bit easier to mix if you have the strawberries crushed to a pulpy mixture beforehand.
Step Two
Add the rice powder and milk into the bowl and stir until you get a mask-like consistency.
Step Three
Apply mixture to your face and massage it in gently using circular motions.
Step Four
Rinse away the scrub with cool water to close your pores, and you’re done!
