Lavender Eyes

In this tutorial, I’ll be outlining a subtle daytime eye look based on Neutrogena’s eyeshadow quad palette in the color Moonlit Violet. This look is an easy way to incorporate color into your every day eye makeup, and because this palette is centered around shades of purple, it’s also a great way to bring out brown eyes.

This is Neutrogena’s eyeshadow quad in Moonlit Violet. It can be really difficult to find Neutrogena’s eyeshadow quads because a lot of stores that sell Neutrogena cosmetics do not carry the eyeshadows. So far, I’ve only found one newer Walmart in my area that sells them.

  1. Start by applying the lavender base color over your entire lid and browbone.
  2. Next, apply the silver highlighting color to your brow bone and the inner corner of your eye.
  3. Using a crease brush, apply the violet crease color to the crease of your eye and blend with your fingers to get a more natural look.
  4. You can really use any color of liner that you’d like, but for this look, I generally use either a dark brown, black, charcoal gray, or purple eyeliner. For today, I used the espresso liner from Physician’s Formula eyeliner trio for brown eyes.
  5. Curl lashes, and finish off with a couple coats of mascara. I used Covergirl’s Nature Luxe mousse mascara in black brown. Here’s how the finished look turns out.
