Bronze Goddess Eyes

This is a really easy nighttime eye look that complements every skin tone, and if you’re just starting out with makeup, it’s a great way to add some drama to your look for a night out with the girls or a hot date. There are endless palettes that have the three basic colors used in this tutorial, so feel free to use any shadows that you already have or to go for a less expensive alternative. The eyeshadow trio I used for this tutorial was Victoria’s Secret Ultimate Look Shadow Trio in Most Wanted, but my favorite (and a less expensive but still high-quality option) trio in these tones is Physician’s Formula’s Baked Eyeshadow Trio in Baked Sands. I also have a few eyeshadow palettes from e.l.f. that have these same colors.

These are the three basic colors you’ll need for this look: a bronze-toned brown, a dark brown, and a golden cream.

  1. Start by applying the bronze base color all over your lid.
  2. Next, using the cream color as a highlighter, apply this color to your brow bone and the inner corner of your eyes.
  3. Using a crease brush, apply the dark brown color into the crease of your eye. The dark brown in the palette I used was a little harsh, so I found that I had to do a lot of blending with my fingers and layering with the base color in order to get it to look right.
  4. Use a dark brown liner to line your lower lashline. I used the expresso liner from Physician’s Formula’s eyeliner trio for brown eyes.
  5. Curl lashes, apply a couple coats of mascara, and you’re good to go! Here’s the finished look.
