Bloody Nail Art

Do you love Halloween? Do you enjoy adding a cute cool effect to things? Or maybe you just want to try something different. Well, this is a great and really cool way to add a little horror to your everyday life.

What You Need:

  • Base Color (Preferably White)
  • Blood Red Polish
  • Old Newspaper (Something You Don't Mind Ruining)
  • Straw
  • Cosmetic Sponge (Optional)
  • Nail Polish Remover

Optional Last For Last Step:

  • Black Polish
  • Dotting Tool

Step One:

Paint several coats of your base on your nails and allow them to dry fully. Make sure you do this over a flat surface with your newspaper under your hands. Clean up any excess polish around your skin.

Step Two:

Take the lid off of the Red, and dip one end of it into the red. How much you get up all depends on how big you want the splatter to be. Small paint equals smaller splatter effect. This step gets a little messy so be careful with clothes and carpets.

Blow on the clean end of the straw, aiming the paint towards the nail. You can do this a few times until you get the desired splatter feel, but attempt to use less paint with each attempt so you don't overwhelm the white.

Step Three:

Dip the cosmetic sponge into the nail polish remover, and clean up all the red that got onto your skin. Wait for it to dry, and you're done.

Step Four:

This step is completely optional

I always think the mask is a really cute option to add in with the nails, and it's totally simple to do.

Take the dotting tool and dip it into the black paint. It usually helps to use two different sizes. The larger one would be used for the eyes of the mask. A smaller tool will do the holes in the mask, now you can make as many as you'd like, but it helps to keep them organized.
