@ Audrey T Yeah that might work. To be safe I'd check a few other tutorials like this one that uses coconut oil as the base just to make sure the measurements aren't different.
@ Audrey T I had a friend who did it. She said it's more matte and that depending on what type of oil you use. There's a few that call for coconut oil, you'll get an essence of the coconut oil versus just straight wax flavor. I can't remember if she said it went on smoothly but all the tutorials I saw show that it looks like it went on well.
I've seen a few crayon lipstick tutorials going around but I haven't tried it yet. If you have, what kind of finish do you get? Is it like a satin-y finish or more matte? Also, is there are crayon-y smell/taste when you use it? And does it go one smoothly?
If the color shows up like it does in your picture, that's pretty neat. I have a ton of old bits of crayon. I was just going to melt them to make those multi-colored heart-shaped crayon things, but I can definitely spare a few reds/pinks for some new lipstick.
