Or you could just watch Supernatural and learn everything from there, like I did. But I AM a bit of a fanatic, so...

    Still, cool article.

  • I don't really think things like this should be encouraged, I don't think the majority of ghosts or spirits would fancy being poked and prodded in this manner and you never know what you'll end up disturbing, good or bad. I'm not sure if I fully believe in the supernatural but spirits and ghosts should be treated with respect, the same goes for ouija boards! ugh they shouldn't ever be used except by people who are super-spiritual and know what they're doing, and I don't mean looking it up on wikipedia. Not only do ouija boards give me the willies, you should google "zozo and lily"! You don't want to end up like Lance Preston from Grave Encounters..........!

  • Every house I've ever lived in has been haunted. Or, well, every house that I've lived in since I've been six. The other one we lived in, I was too young to really remember so I'm not sure if it was haunted or not.

The one I live in now though, it's kind of freaking me out. The activity keeps escalating, probably the entire house was recently remodeled completely. Closet doors open and close, the bathtub turns on and off...like, fully fledged on and off, not just a leak. I've heard voices, footsteps, seen shadows, felt touches on my leg at night when I go to sleep. Shifty

  • I just went ghost hunting tonight and caught a few strange shadow people. Great tips, I went to a cemetery and the police were doing a search of the place so we had to hide in the woods. It was kinda freaky haha. Great article:D

  • One thing I do highly recommend for anyone who does it is bring some one spiritual! It really doesnt matter which religion they as long as they belive in the same things as you. Ghost hunting can be dangerous. Sometimes you think you hunting a ghost and it turns out to be something dark, and the hunter becomes the hunted so bring some one who knows how to deal with that type of situation!

  • Well, I loved this. Definitely some good tips for beginners. =)

While I haven't really gone ghost hunting, I've been to my fair share of haunted places. I visited the famously haunted Quarantine Station here in Sydney and managed to capture a spirit on camera. Creepy stuff!

I also loved your comment about McDonald's not being a great place for hauntings - because a few of my friends have had some pretty creepy experiences at the McDonald's where I work. =P So you never know.

  • This is definitely the most basic of tips for ghost-hunting. Pretty good. Do you know the show 'Ghost Adventures'? I personally like them better than Ghost Hunters and they make me want to go back to my old house, which I'm convinced has some pretty bad spirits.
