Piercing Aftercare

Hello, everyone! As a piercing vetaran, I have over 12 different body mods and most of them are in my ears or on my face. Toady, I'm going to share my knowledge with you, and hopefully you will all take something from it!

First, you want to take about a teaspoon of sea salt for every two teaspoons of water. Then, you want to saturate the end of a cotton bud (or q-tip!) and gently wash away any dirt, dried blood, and oils from your fresh piercings. When you're confident that your new metal is clean, take the dry end of the cotton bud to soak up any leftover water and to clean up any blood that may be coming out from moving the jewelry around. A little bit of bleeding is perfectly normal.

You never want to use the same cotton bud on a different piercing as this can cause a nasty infection and you may have to let your piercing close completely! Clean your piercing at least twice a day, but no more than three times. Over cleaning can cause the healing process to take longer, and no one wants that.

Septum piercings take about 6 to 8 months to heal fully, and Bridge piercings take about 8 to 10 weeks, depending on how well you take care of them. If your piercing doesn't heal in that amount of time, don't worry! Everyone's body is different.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me! Good luck with your new piercings!!
