Cinnamon Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Be sure to preheat your waffle Iron.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all dry ingredients(Flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt cinnamon). Make sure to whisk them all together so the flavors stay even when you mix in the wet ingredients.
  3. Spray your waffle iron, or butter it so that the waffles do not stick to the iron.
  4. Mix into the dry ingredients the wet ingredients, one by one - make sure each of them is mixed in good before adding the next. (Buttermilk mixture)
  5. In a separate bowl whip the eggs with an electric mixer until stiff, then fold into the waffle batter.
  6. Then once everything is mixed together, a half a cup at a time put some batter into the waffle iron until full.
  7. Close the waffle iron
  8. Waffles are done when they are golden brown, or usually when the steam stops coming from inside of it.
  9. These waffles are good with fruit and whipped cream, or as a traditional breakfast with syrup.
