Baked Sausage Balls

I love meatballs in my spaghetti and since my fiancee loves sausage, I decided to make him some sausage meatballs one day and he loved them. I baked them so its sort of healthy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of ground sausage (if you can't find the ground kind, you can buy the links and just remove the casing.)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of bread crumbs (I use italian bread crumbs, but you can use whatever type you like. You can also use bread that you've torn apart as well.)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 palm full of italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch of dried sage
  • 1 pinch of dried parsley
  • 1/2 palm full of parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Mix all of the ingrediants together. (Be careful not to mix too much.)
  3. Take a table spoon full of the sausage mixture and roll into a ball.
  4. Place 1/2 inch to 1 inch apart.
  5. Let cook for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
  6. Flip meatballs over to brown the other side.

Note:

Depending on the size of the meatballs, they may cook quicker or slower than written. Keep a close eye on them so they do not burn. You may take one out and cut it in half to see if it is done or not. You may change up the measurements for the seasonings to suit your taste. Enjoy.
