Brigadeiros
Invented in Brazil, this recipe is also quite famous here in Portugal. It's a very cheap and easy to make dessert that will impress all your friends at dinner parties!
Things You'll Need
- 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 can (approximately 14 ounces) of sweetened condensed milk
- A medium saucepan
- A big wooden spoon for mixing
- A tray to serve
How It's Made
- Pour the condensed milk in the saucepan in low heat.
- Add the cocoa powder and mix everything with the big spoon until the powder and the milk blend.
- Add the butter and mix some more.
- Let it stirr for about ten minutes in low heat.
- Remove from heat and let it rest until it's cold enough to handle.
- Take little portions of the dough and form balls with your hands, then place them in the tray in the fridge to cool down until they are completely cold.
You can decorate them with chocolate sprinkles, colourful sprinkles, or even dip them in caramel. To be honest, I usually just eat the dough right away.
Now eat away! Remember, these are not diet friendly at all, so take it easy. There is also a cake based on this recipe, if you guys are interested, just let me know and I'll post the recipe for that as well. Enjoy!
