5 Minute French Toast
French toast is definitely one of America's favorite breakfast options. I especially love them, but I found all the recipes on the Internet just required too much time. What with making them and then putting them in the oven, I ended up using up an hour or more of time! This meant that I could only have it on special occasions, because on busy mornings when I had class, there was no way I could have time to prepare it and not wake up an hour earlier. One day, I finally thought up the answer to my problem. I made up this quick and easy version, made in the microwave instead of the oven, that saves lots of time but tastes just as great.
Ingredients:
- Milk
- Bread
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
- Maple syrup
Instructions:
- Soak the slices of bread in milk. It doesn't have to be too moist, just have enough to cover the majority of the slice.
- Sprinkle with cinammon and sugar.
- Put in microwave for about a minute. This depends on how chewy and warm you want them. Less than a minute also works.
- Remove from microwave and pour maple syrup on them
- Enjoy!
If you try it, be sure to comment and tell us how it went!
