Ramen Recipes: Easy, Cheesy, Creamy Ramen Noodles

Ramen noodles are can be great for any meal and you can dress it up (or down) however you want. Here's a simple 2-ingredient recipe, that will make your meal a little tastier.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Ramen noodles
  • 2 oz cream cheese (not whipped)
  • red pepper flakes (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. In your small pot, bring two cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add your Ramen noodles to the boiling water. (Do not add the flavor packet.) [1]
  3. While your Ramen is cooking, place 2 ounces of cream cheese into the small bowl. [2]
  4. Scoop out a quarter cup of the water your noodles are cooking in and pour it into the small bowl, over the cream cheese. [3]
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of the flavor packet's spices to the bowl.
  6. Using a fork or whisk, mix the cream cheese, spices, and hot water until the cream cheese is mostly melted and you have a cheese sauce consistency. (It's okay if there's still some lumps.)
  7. Once the noodles are cooked to a consistency you like, drain the water and add the noodles to your cream-cheese sauce. [4]
  8. Using your fork, mix it until your noodles are fully coated in the cream-cheese sauce. (The heat from your noodles will melt any remaining cream-cheese lumps in your sauce.)
  9. Add a few red-pepper flakes for a little spice.
  10. Eat it while it's hot!

Tips

  • Feel free to buy any brand of cream-cheese. (You don't have to go expensive with a name brand. Generic works just as well.)
  • The wrapping of the cream cheese bar (not the tub) usually has measurements on it, making it a lot easier to get the right amount. You can just use a knife to cut the package right at the 2 oz line and put the remainder in a tightly closed Ziplock bag or plastic wrap.
  • The flavor packets that come with Ramen noodles are often a lot more than you need. If you have an empty salt or pepper shaker around, you can poor your extra seasoning in there and save it for other dishes.
