How to Get Inspired

Everyone suffers from writer's block from time to time. Heck, even the best writers sometimes have writer's block. Here's a tutorial on how to break the block and getting inspiration.

There are several ways to find inspiration. First, you could read books if you wanted to find some ideas in there. (Just make sure you don't copy from the book.) For instance, if you want to do some fanfiction and you don't like how the specific book turned out, write a new ending! Or you could make some pairings that you would've like d and make it happen in your story! The same thing goes for newspaper articles, movies, and video games as well.

Next, once you have found your inspiration, find a good place to concentrate. It could be your bedroom, your living room, a park...anywhere you can work peacefully. If you work better with music, put music on. Just make sure it isn't distracting you when you work. Remember: You need a quiet place to work. Or if you're the type that doesn't need a quiet place to work, knock yourself out and work anywhere you want!

After you find your place to work, grab a pen and paper (or your computer if you prefer). If you're continuing with a story you've already started, watch some more of your favorite t.v. series, read some more books, or take a nap and hope for inspiration from a dream. Doing this should help you to figure out what's going to happen next in your story. Or you can try my favorite, ask your readers for any suggestions they may have. Often, people how have followed your stories may have some amazing ideas. Once you have a nice idea to work with, begin typing out your chapter.

Lastly, read over your work and find anything that needs revising and editing. If there seems to be too big of a jump from one scene to the next, add things to it. Don't forget to embellish your story! Add details, details, details. Readers like it when you add details to paint a picture in their mind.

Finally,(this might be a no-brainer), publish your story or chapter! If you're not too sure if you want to publish it, re-do the last two steps: idea, read over your work.

I hope this tutorial helped you overcome your writer's block, and for others, to find your inspiration to write.
