And I know that our money isn't only spent on other countries, what I'm trying to say is that more is being spent than there should be. There are issues here that our minsters should be concentrating on. xD |

I personally feel that its the British government or the Queen that should apologies, they did majority of the damage and its the Australian government that give out the Land etc. to the Aboriginal Community. As for the money with the schools, it's good to see that he cares for education (like another certain politician that i love...) but a lot of it is being wasted. My school just had 2 science labs renovated to 'multi-purpose class rooms last year, which is a lab with proper tables in it as well and they are going to get re-done again this year. I hate the fact that the government is taking all the credit for ending the recession in Australia when it wasn't their idea. Jack Lang suffered so much and was dismissed for his idea and now Kevin Rudd's government have stolen his idea, changed it slightly and gave Jack Lang absolutely no recognition, he could have ended the Great Depression in Australia and this is just proof of that. |

Britain would have to apologise to literally a quarter of the whole world. Should we apologise to the Native Americans, too? Or is that something for the US government? I don't know, I don't think you can lay the blame entirely on Britain (not that I condone or defend the Empire. I think it was hideous and shameful and disgusting and more besides). I just don't think Australians can say 'it was all Britain's fault, we don't have to apologise' like Australians had nothing to do with it. It's on both of our hands. |
