Do nude pictures of celebs suggest you beauty and a new perspective on humanity as a whole?
No, however I think it has been used that way because nudity is such a taboo. The more something is avoided the more enticing it gets, which is why celebrities get naked. They're not out to make you horny, they're out to make headlines. Most nudity (even though motives might seem sexual) used by famous people is for shock value. |

It really is. I'm not offended or even shocked when I see a nude photo and I think that's healthy. When people are it makes me wonder if that sensitivity stems from their cultural upbringing or if it's that they are uncomfortable with their own bodies.
Sometimes it does have to do with cultural upbringing. I agree with you in the sense that nudity doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, but some people are brought up in cultural surroundings that frown upon nudity. I don't agree with that, but for some, that's their culture. |

If you want to keep your clothes on, bully for you.
I've taken topless photos before. You won't find them on the internet because they aren't posted.
However, I'm in the process of doing an artistically nude shoot for DeviantArt.
Am I a slutty, trashy whore?
No. I just don't have a problem with my body and taking nude/topless pictures is my choice. |

To be honest, I think the most important word you used there was 'artistically' the human body was made to be looked at. If it's done respectfully. Then there should be no problem. If you feel confident enough with yourself, and your body. Then more power to you. |

But I've also taken nude pictures for a boy/girlfriend [I'm not at libery to discuss who].
They weren't at all artistic.
And I still don't think it makes me a slut. |

Well you hardly went around skipping through the street singing that you had nude pictures if anyone wanted to see. (I hope )
It's a personal choice to take personal pictures of yourself for some-one else.
I do, however, think if they fall into the wrong hands. You shouldn't automatically blame some-one else. |

Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | June 27th, 2008 at 10:21pm Honestly, I'm not that bothered by Pete's pictures or anyone really that wants to take nude pictures. I didn't lose respect for him or anything because like many people have said on here it's all about personal choices.
But then there is the whole Vanessa being such a role model for young girls and being a main in Disney films that are kind of worrying. But either way it is still the persons choice.. =] |

I'm all for Nude photography as a form of art, the human body is something natural and beautiful.
I'm not saying don't take photo's like that, which I guess it kinda sounded like up there ^^ But being famous, they should just be a hell of a lot more careful. and it seems as if they want the publicity and for themselves to be talked about.
Miley posted those Photo's on her myspace, it's obvious people would see them. If they were for a certain person why not only send them to that person?
Vanessa, took the picture for Zac no? and I don't know whether it got leaked on purpose or whether it was a genuin mistake, but if she's in the public eye she should have been alot more careful about them.
I mean as you said, you've taken a photo topless, and your smart enough to not get it posted all over the net.
I guess I sound like one of those moaning teens, who has an opinion about everything. Just sometimes, I get a little carried away [/rant] |

Just because the human body is beautiful and nudity is something natural, it does not mean that every nude photo is a work of art.
If you want to take pictures of you naked, go ahead and take pictures of you naked, just don't claim that everything you do is the Sistine Chapel. |

I hate the Disney Channel stars.
And I think, with it being the Disney channel, they shouldn't dress in such skimpy things.
However, I don't think miniskirts and short shorts automatically degrade women.
It can be empowering to not be afraid to show off your body.
I think what's degrading is being told we need to cover up because we're distracting to men. |

But Hanna Montana's weren't even nude. She had a sheet covering her and it was really only her bare back. That's not really nude pictures to me. |

But still, she isn't nude.
So, it's still bad, but it could have been worse.
I still don't like that she seems to be a role model for young kids and she's taking photos like this though... |

Good point, but the amount of skin isn't the problem in Cyrus's case. |
