I'm having trouble deciding wether to be vegetarian...or not...

It's kind of hard. I don't care for tofu and hate most soy products. I don't eat beans and I hate nuts...

I wonder if I could do it.

A lot of people find it hard to be a vegetarian/vegan because they're so used to eating meat, I mean, you guys have done it since you were small and innocent, why break the habit? I've never eaten meat a day of my life, so I wouldn't know what I'm missing out on...if I'm missing something. Rolling Eyes
Why not try slowly reducing the meat products from your life, see whether you can handle it?
If you can't do it after a point, then maybe you weren't meant to do it, it's not a diet for everyone.

I hope I helped...

Have you ever tried nuts put in something else, like, a salad, or a healthy cake?
I sound weird considering I've been a vegan all my life but I seriously don't eat many beans...ahaha...

And mushrooms and tofu.

Other than the disgusting taste, the txture of some foods (mushrooms) have made me involuntarily heave and spew my guts on my cat. No kidding.

You're... partially correct.

I just don't know- I mean, I have a pretty meatless diet, but then again, I have serous dietary issues.

Like, I'm a sugar addict who tends to hate food yet love it.

I eat when bored ( majority of my life) and can eat till I look impregnated.

I'm several kg underweight.

I never gain a pound T.T

Which I think is problematic if I wanted to become vegetarian.

Maybe the reason your underweight is because your not eating enough?
What I'm trying to say is that by eating stable meals, even if you are a vegetarian or someone who eats meat, really works to balance your weight.
Sugar, I know from experience, does nothing to some people...especially if your a vegan, haha.

I'm waiting for the diabeties to steal me.

Kidding.

And I eat three solid meals, usually too much.

I over eat. My doctor hates that, but what can she do?

I've just given up-

I grow too fast to gain the appropriate weight.

two centimeters a month and five pounds a year.

They don't match.

Maybe it's all a part of you growing up? Have you talked about this with your doctor?

Well it's been going on for a while.

I mean, for over two years. I'm developing ok for my age, except for the monstrous hieght and the under sleeping.

I sleep about four hours a day/night. With music on. Usually Tokio Hotel.

I asked her if going Veggie was ok, but she never answered...

My best friend is seriously skinny, and tall, I think it just comes with the height, being underweight, I know that's strange, but I think you sound fine.

I don't think you have to worry too much if you aren't seriously underweight. I am underweight too and a veggie.
LIke you I can eat and eat but don't gain weight. It has been this way since I entered this lovely word so I don't think it has to do with meat because when I was little I used to eat some meat (parents forced me) but still, no weight.

But you can ask your doc again and if she doesn't answer again. just aask and ask and ask.

I'm vegetarian. I can't stand animal cruelty, and I consider eating an animal cruelty. [I don't understand why humans think we're better then everything/everyone else.]
I'd like to go vegan, but my parents don't support as is [me: "does this have meat in it?" mom: "uh..." dad: "just lie to her!"] , so I really can't.
I think when I'm older and have a job and such, I probably will, because I'll be buying most of my own food and making my own meals...

Ivanka.:

I did it because I disapprove highly of animal cruelty

I just wanted to say that the way most animals are killed today is actually humane. I have had people tell me off for eating meat because of animal cruelty, and though I respect their choice I think it's really important people should research before they make claims. I know from my father who use to be in charge of the mechanics and dealt with the equipment that the animals don't actually feel a thing. They're also treated quite well, like any normal animal you would find on a farm.

Please, no one take what I said the wrong way. This is a discussion thread, and that's just my opinion. I don't have a problem with a persons choice not to eat meat or their beliefs, I just wish people would take the time to research those kind of facts before making claims and getting upset over the whole idea of "animal cruelty." Saying that though, not all people are like that.
