Book/Movie: Harry Potter

I can never get past writing a one-shot either, don't worry. I'm trying my hand at a chaptered HP story right now, but I won't put it up until I'm finished. If I ever do. I'm horrid at chapter stories.

But, I'll definitely think about it, and try to find the angle I want to do it from. Harry can't interact with a pensieve memory, so that's out of the question, but maybe something with the second year journal? Of course, then Harry would only be in second year so it may not be, like, boyseckz or anything hardcore but definitely something that tests the boundaries of a trust friendship. Gosh, this is so hard! >_<"

You have a point. I used to write Marauder fics all the time when I was in third and fourth grade (I'm going into eighth grade now) but even then I was like, "Fuck you Peter. You get no one." Only it was more like, "F*** you, Peter." because I was so freaked out about cursing back then.

I don't know. I just don't feel comfortable writing about Peter because I'm don't know how to characterize him. Like, at the time he was nothing more than an untalented tag-along. But he had to make some choices by himself, right? I mean, he couldn't just live off of Remus, Sirius, and James. I just can never think up what choices that may be. And then, what class he might have been the most talented in and all of that. It just gets me all confused and then he gets either a minute role or a non-existent one since I don't feel like dealing with it.

And then Matthew Sanders will help us sue as well.

I read one where Harry was 16 and Voldermort became Tom Riddle again or something along those lines. Its a magical realm, they can make anything up.
It can be non-consensual if you're up to it though.

I understand that feeling. Most authors find it difficult getting Peter just right because his presence wasn't under very good terms besides the fact that in the last book, he hesitated in killing Harry. In my opinion, I think he can be witty too. He's pretty fast thinking, he's just not good with getting his stories straight whih is why he gets into a lot of trouble. He was in Gryffindor for a reason so therefore, I think he has admirable character traits but a moral weakness that leads to his downfall.

Consensual...non-consensual. Choices, choices. I'm up for anything in the magical realm. But you're right, anything is possible. I could even do an AU one, where Tom Riddle never went insane power-crazed Voldemort. Maybe he was just a rapist of innocent little raven-haired boys.

You're right, and I've never really thought of it that way. I was too busy shooting him dead for killing James, which killed Sirius, and also killing Remus! Yes, I can blame him for all of that, yes I can. And the Marauders are some of my favorite characters. How dare he!

I do like your opinion of him, and probably true. But he also hero-worshipped the Marauders, and I think that's also part of the reason they stayed friends with him for so long. We see that whoever has power, he tends to grovel and beg for. We know that the Marauders were rather influential and popular amongst their classmates, so Peter wants to be a part of that, and he tags along. But then, the Dark Lord comes up, and he betrays them because the Dark Lord kind of pwns the Marauders when it comes to power. In some ways, it's more of a saving himself tactic; get in with whoever is powerful/influential, and you're saved until their boat sinks.

It was just a random thought I had whilst writing that post. Maybe I'll do it now, I dunno. I haven't even started it yet, I'm so bad.

Yes, I can hold a grudge, especially when some of my FAVORITE CHARACTERS have been killed. DEAD. As in really, really, never-coming-alive-again DEAD.

I don't know if I can agree to the 'good person who did bad things' about Peter. It's just...he knew what he was doing, right? And he did it anyways because he'd rather save himself than his friends. Sirius would have died for James, yet we see that Peter instead sold him out. After this, though, the Dark Lord falls, and Peter Pettigrew scampers away, to a gentle life with the Weasleys...but then goes back to Voldemort when Sirius found him out, and also because of Trelawney's prophecy. So yeah, he's scared of Voldemort and may regret turning in James, but the fact remains that he still did it! To save himself, no less!

I hate audio books. I guess because I read so fast the way audio books are set up drive me insane. >_>

Stephen Fry talks at about nought point one times the speed that I read. While it was kind of interesting to hear a different persepective of how he read it, the way he did Draco's voice was just plain irritating. It's like, 'get it right, goddammit! Can't you capture the emotion in his voice?'

I do agree with your theory. WB doesn't seem to give a shit about how the fans feel, so long as they get more money. And the film better live up to expectations after all this hype and delay time or I will be very, very angry. Like, seriously, sueing them won't be enough vengeance.

Another twelve months to wait until I can have teenie moments over Draco's despair...
