I really want to believe Barack Obama will change things, but I do see what other people have been saying, that he just doesn't have suubstance. I do have a feeling nothing will change under his command. He would be coming into rule while the country is not only at war, but in a recession/depression. There are also plenty of domestic issues coming up, that he may not be able to deal with everything. He is a rookie in politics I believe. and McCain, though I do slightly have a better feeling towards him, I am afraid that he is too attached to Bush's ideals that nothing will change under his rule.
Maybe we are just doomed to fail either way with no matter whom we vote for.
Barack Obama has the power to change things in Washington, and to motivate young people like no other person in politics really can. I look up to him a lot. I really hope he gets elected.

Something else to remember is that if he gets elected, he will have a lot of weight on his shoulders. America is heading towards a depression, and it is quite a lot to ask of somebody to fix everything about this country. No matter what, he'll receive ridicule. We have to remember that he isn't a miracle worker, and he's not going to fix everything. We can't be expecting that of anybody.

I really hate that. America has a great quailty of life. Yet you complain about everything! Like come on.
the united states CANNOT GO INTO ANOTHER DEPRESSION.
it can, however, go into a RECESSION.

I'm going to be spending some time at an Obama Campaign for Change office doing volunteer work, but I know virtually nothing about him or what he stands for.
Does anyone know of any good political websites where I could find out more about him? I'm already doing a bit of digging around, but I can't really find any good enough information for me to form an opinion around.
I've also been asking some people what they like or don't like about Obama, but I've quickly found that that's not going to work. For example, when I asked my brother what he didn't like about Obama, his answer was "He's a Communist."
I'm not quite sure. But, we'll find out when he's president.
Like I said, I hope not.
You hope not? Are you taking them seriously?

Yes, and no.
No president will be everything they promise.
I'll commend Obama if he can do half of what he claims. I see him as someone who brings the nation hope, so he's doing good.
McCain, well; he won't win. It'll be amazing if he wins. Despite what the media says, they've got a real boas towards Obama.
To be honest, I don't take them too seriously. Neither one of them. I see a lot of things as a joke. The nation'll pull through, either way.
Well no kidding but that doesn't make them the antichrist. O_o

Don't think that I believe that. =P
They had their reasons, I'm sure. My thoughts are that my parents are zealots.
I honestly don't believe he's the Anti-Christ.
It'd just be interesting if he was.
Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757. And as part of the new design, he decided to remove the American flag from the tail...
What American running for President of the United States would remove the symbol of his country? And worse, he replaced the flag with it with a symbol of himself...
__________
Ah, how wonderful.
Now, I'll see where this might not be an exremely big deal to some. But really, why would the hopeful president have the flag of the country they hope to lead taken off their plane? Doesn't make sense. I just fear Obama doesn't actually care too much for America...
