I'm going to assume that you have proof of that accusation. I don't see how PETA is exploitation at all. It's about saving animals; is there something wrong with that? I don't think that what you claim is very fair. I even support PETA Kills Animals group simply because they are against killing animals, despite their accusations toward PETA.

I was too lazy to reply to your post, so here's an email I sent peta2 a while back. Which was never responded to, of course.

I thought you were supposed to be People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
So why are you making pointless flash games of the Olsen Twins when you should be saving kittens?
These cartoon stickers, games, and teeshirts are obviously advertising to an extreme.
I observe when I watch commercials that the company puts their commercials on channels that they think people will buy their product watch.
I see a similar thing here with PETA2, which was created as a way to hold the PETA spirit of "protecting animals" without scaring people off. PETA2 is ridiculously geared toward the younger generation of vegetarians, obviously those who are fans of softcore rock music because I noticed you continually have videos of members of popular rock bands in interviews. Using people that these kids respect is a way of roping them into your organization, weaning them first with your cutesy, watered-down PETA2 and as they get older they will then end up joining full-blown PETA and becoming one of your activists. Who's jobs, might I add, are quite pointless. All they do is video tape the animals being harrassed. Not help them or anything, of course, because they are compelled to get the full coverage of how truly awful animals are being treated, so more people will join PETA and video abused animals and the cycle will continue, et cetera, et cetera.
In my opinion, PETA is one of the hugest examples of corperate power hunger.
How many animals to you truly save? Animal shelters devot their energy to saving abused animals, healing them back to health, and finding loving homes for them. I see a huge amount of advertisement in PETA.
"GO VEG!" is what your stickers read. You might as well cross it out and scribble "WE'RE USING SUBLIMINAL MESSAGING TO MAKE YOU ONE OF US!".
I have nothing against vegetarians. I have several friends who are, many people I look up to and respect are vegan or vegetarian, and I'm borderline vegetarian myself. I love animals so much, and it really does break my heart when I hear that they are abused and I can get quite emtional about it. Why would anyone ever hurt them?
But your organization disgusts me. You put animals above humans. I thought the point was to make them equal to us.
Your advertisements compare the abuse to Jewish concentration camps and racist lynching. That is cruel and heartless. Those are haunting memories, that filled people with pain beyond what you can ever imagine. Pain beyond your wildest imagination. That is truly shameful.
And the statement that you would not support animal testing even if it found a cure to AIDS. That is disgusting. What are ten monkeys lives in comparison to millions of people? People are suffering and dying from this disease. Many have given up their hopes and dreams, gone into depression and even suicide, over this disease, and you claim you would not support it if there is a use of animal testing.
I am in doubt that this email will ever be read, and my rant will simply be cast aside.
But if you ever find it, take what I said to heart.

I'd also like to add that I also saw that PETA was encouraging the consumption of beer instead of milk, claiming it was "healthier", and the advertisements seemed to be geared toward children and teenagers.
They also exploit women by using "Lettace Ladies", women clad in only bathing suits made to look like lettuce, obviously geared toward the male population.
PETA knows that sex sells, and so does scandel, so they devote their time to shocking instead of helping.

Okay, I understand that. I didn't know much about it. I don't know, it just looked fake when I saw it, so that's what I assumed. I should do more research before opening my big mouth, I didn't even know they knew who the guy was yet.
I saw the video when it first aired, so that was a while back.

I didn't watch the whole video, I couldn't watch the whole video. But from the comments I've seen and other things I've heard from people I know how have seen this vid, it's disgusting and their is no excuse for it and their is no defending that cunt of a "Soldier".

That's AWFUL. Animals have feelings and rights just like we do. They can feel pain as much as anyone!

I have three dogs, a cat, two rats, two hamsters and a guinea pig. I love ALL of them. I would never hurt an animal.

The fucking dog cried as it was thrown off a cliff.. Why would someone do that to a living thing? I hope his ass gets shot. Then who will be laughing? I shouldn't say that though. That goes against my beliefs but damn. Why throw that dog off a cliff? Then that asshole goes that was mean. Wtf?

I saw it on CNN, and I thought it was terrible. They said that the MARINE (he's supposed to be defending our country, not killing dogs!) is being expelled (meaning no dishonorable discharge) from the service. But, the guy could go over again through Blackwater or another organization, also. Which could have been the reason for filming it in the first place, to be expelled and be able to go through something else for more money. But still, it's a terrible thing to do!!!!!

Oh, and about PETA, the whole organization is a way to make money. But a lot of people who join PETA really do care about the animals, and try to save them.
But I have to admit, they're pretty stupid when it comes to releasing animals. A group near where I live let a bunch of mink that were on a mink farm go into the wild.. they had lived in captivity most of their lives and most died from starvation.
Idiots.

Those soldiers should be punished if they haven't been already. That's sick, cruel, and defiantly not who I'd like to look up to. That gives all U.S. soldiers a bad name. He should be ashamed of himself for that.
