I've been taking guitar lessons since April 2006. I played acoustic from them till December 2006, then at Christmas I got my electric. I've been playing electric since then.

I have a shitty black and white Peavey Raptor.

And I'm hoping to get a new guitar soon...

I play acoustic and electric, although not very well. Shifty
I've been teaching myself how to play since like... May last year?
My dad plays as well, although he's a crap teacher. He likes to collect guitars, so we have..

A Martin Acoustic guitar that he named Senna after the racecar driver Artin Senna. Rolling Eyes
Then two weeks later, he bought a really cheap Toyama acoustic, named Johnny after Johnny Cash / John after John Lennon.
The first electric guitar we bought was a Gibson Les Paul Supreme in Maple. It's so gorgeous that I don't even like touching it, it's called Tiger Lilly / Paul after Paul McCartney.
We also have a second hand Fender Strat in Sunburst. We called it George, after George Harrison (you getting the pattern?).
And during our trip to the states, we bought a Chet Atkins semi-acoustic Gibson Les Paul. It's black and has star inlays so we called it Starry. Or Ringo. -shrug-
Aaaand we also have a Taylor classical guitar, I forgot it's name.
Shifty

They're all in storage except for the Martin Acoustic, Georgie (the Fender Strat) and the Taylor.
I'm really a bad guitarist though... So yeah, I'm hoping to either find more time to practise or get a guitar teacher.

I play a fenster rip off.
It's electric blue and the jack socket is really bad quality.
But it's all I could afford.

I don't have an electric guitar, I can't afford one, haha.
I've had the same acoustic for the last four years.
I got it at a festival in Johnsaven. I can't read music.
And I'm self-taught. Tried lessons, didn't like them.

I got a blue electric guitar for my 15th birthday - which I called Blue after BJ's first guitar.
Shifty

I basically taught myself how to play through the American Idiot sheet music book thingo and have been obsessed ever since.

I love my guitar. I play him all the time. He is my soul, and if I didn't have him, I would have nothing better to do with my time.
My guitar is an acoustic Epiphone, and I got him when I was around 12 years old, right after my friend Alex passed. It helped me deal with his passing, and now I'm obsessed with playing the guitar.

I named him Stunner, my nickname at the time.

I've been playing for three years and a bit. I had lessons for about a year and a half or so, but wasn't getting anywhere really, so I packed them in and now I'm self-taught.

I have a Squire Strat (sunburst, with Hell-a-load of stickers over it), a Yamaha electro-acoustic (red and black) and a simplistic, cheapo classical guitar(my parents didn't believe that I would carry it on and that it would just be another phase.)

When I started playing, I set myself the goal that I wanted to play Basket Case by Green Day, but it actually ended up being the first song that I learnt. Right now, I think that the most "complicated/trickiest" song that I can play is Canon Rock (JerryC's version).

Chyeahh... XD I also write my own material, so hopefully, when I set my home recording gear up, I can post some stuff.

I have three guitars. Two acoustic [one steel-stringed] and one electric.

Started teaching myself back in December '04.
September '06 the school started giving me free lessons. My teacher wasn't nice and told me my technique was bad so I stopped going tehe

They're called Titsmagee, Sonic and The Ieronator.

Guitar is my lifeeeee.
I've been playing for about seven or eight years now..

I've got a Yamaha AES620, The Gibson Sonex 180 Custom, and an Ibanez V Series V70CE [Acoustic]..and I had a classical Yamaha Acoustic, but he kinda died and needs to be fixed. lmfao.

And a Line 6 Spider II Amp...It's a piece of shit though. I regret buying it, I should have bought a Marshall.

But yeah, so I'm gonna get a Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412 and a Schecter C-1 FR soon though In Love Happy face

I play acoustic guitar, but not very well I'm afraid.

I only have a pretty basic 3/4 size acoustic guitar, despite the fact that I've been asking for an electric guitar for almost three years now for Christmas and birthdays.

I hope I'll get better though (:

I play both electric and acoustic, but I lean more towards the electric.
I have a blue Fender Squire Stratocaster...his name's Green. :]
I also have a cheaper acoustic, but I hardly play it. =/
About 2 years ago I started lessons, but my teacher wasn't the greatest, so I stopped after about 1 1/2 years.
I know lots of Black Sabbath though. :]
And a decent amount of other good songs.

I have a small acoustic called ... -thinks- called Nick (after my first and last guitar teacher).
I haven't played it in forever, though.

For Christmas, I got an electric. I called it Zaccheus, mainly because I was obsessed with that name at the time. I um .. don't really know what type it is; apparantly it's a very good one - Nick said it was good, anyway, since he picked it out. It's brown with a creamy-white colour around the rim. Very nice guitar.
But I think my amp is pretty lame, since I don't think it has distortion or anything ... I wouldn't know, I don't know how to use it. It doesn't go very loud, either.

My friend Emili says I should learn guitar in order to help learn to write songs (because I write all the songs for our band).

Question: Is that true? Will it help more?
