I've been playing longer than I can remember. I used to hatehatehate it. I would fight with my mom when it came to practicing.
Now, I'm in love with the instrument. I'm not super amazing or anything, and I haven't followed any specific grade course or books. I love the instrument though.

I love playing and I think it is beautiful to listen to, as well.

I can play piano... with a twist, because I hate classic.
My sister wants me to teach her, but I laughed.

She thinks I'm good...

I've played piano for about 4 years now. But it's been extremely interrupted due to several moves and switches of teachers, some of which weren't good AT ALL. I love it, and am very passionate about it, but am frustrated, becuase I should be so much more advanced than I am. Argh!

yeah, ive been playing for four years and i've had three teachers, well now i might be having my fourth at the beginning of th term!

lets see, i've been playing piano for 9 years and i love it!

i like to play classical music mostly on it - slower kinds. ha, i dont know why, it just sounds more like the piano is meant for slower classical music.

I'm learning currently but I have a friend who is absolutely fantastic at it.
She can hear a song like once and she can pick out the notes and play it without the sheet of music etc. She's amazing.

I've been playing for about a year and a half.... (and have been taking lessons.)

My teacher says I'm a fast learner, but playing doesn't really seem that difficult; it is the site reading that kicks my ass! Shifty

I'm currently learning my hardest song so far... "Once Upon a December" in the movie Anastasia. I've always wanted to play it but it was made an option when my piano teacher asked what I wanted to play next and I was like, 'The song your granddaughter played at the recital...' Wow

Thing is, her granddaughter's been playing for her whole life, and she's 20 something. Shifty So my teacher kind of dilutes some of the parts so I can manage it. Rolling Eyes

Anyone got hints on how to train mah fingers when not on a piano? Would squeezing one of those ball things be good or bad?

I started playing piano when I was 8. I got a free scholarship to Stubb's Music Center & lessons there cost a lot of money so I was glad to get that scholarship.

But unfortunately I had to quit playing in 6th grade because I was in band. My lessons & my band concerts were always on the say day at the same time so I had to quit.

I still play occassionally & I've kept all of my books & pieces that I've played. I'm only at Level 2 though so I'm not all that great at playing. So I wouldn't say that I've been learning to play for 6 years straight. Just for 3 years straight.

I can play "Disenchanted" by MCR & I can play a little bit of "Warmness On The Soul" by A7X.

Since I did take band through middle school, I kept all of my clarinet music, which meant that I liked to play it on the piano when I didn't feel like playing my clarinet.

I usually play Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest because it's my favorite piece.
I love it!
Everytime we played it in band I always squealed happily. Even if I was sad this piece always put a smile on my face!

Amanda Palmer.:
I play the piano. I've been playing since before I can remember, I grew up in a big house with a big piano, and I've had lessons since very young. I love the sound it makes, and one day, I want to play as well as Amanda Palmer. (:

I dream of that too!

I've played since I was 7.
Not seriously but I'm a quick learner with the piano.
Put some music in front of me and I can figure it out.

I've played since I've been six or seven, can't remember.

I do the whole Royal Conservatory thing, and I really do like it a lot. I love classical music. Currently I'm in grade 8, but after my test this winter I'll be in grade 9. I'm planning on finishing grade 10 before I leave home, because my piano teacher is one of the most amazing ever.

Non-classical music I have... Pirates of the Carribean theme music, Star Trek Complete Theme Music Collection, two Alan Jackson books, Christmas music, various rock song books, and a book of the music from the movie Titanic.

I have played since I was 4 or 5 so that's basically for 12 years. I absolutely love it.

When I was younger I never wanted to practice and was pretty bad, but since then I've become good at sightreading will sit playing through random songs for about 3 hours if I lose track of time. It's kind of ridiculous.
