What kind of pieces do you sing/ what kind of style would you say you have?
I sing a lot of musicals and a lot of ballads. I would personally say I have a pretty low, normal singing voice. Not much special, but it works for me :]

I'm an alto, but recently I've been placed with the tenors on occasion; haha
Well... I've been told by friends and outsiders alike that I have a pleasant singing voice. My choir director says that I've a quiet, mellow, easy sound--make of it what you will.
But I do enjoy singing. Quite lovely. =] |

Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 285 | March 9th, 2008 at 07:49pm I like singing. I don't sing very much except for singing along to things, but I am in the chorus in my school's musical next week. That might not be much of an acheivement however seeing as the music teacher pretty much lets anybody who can sing join the chorus. |

Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 1243 | March 9th, 2008 at 08:01pm I do voice for first instrument in Music, and I'm an alto in this close harmony group our teacher got together, but it's a pity that it's hardly ever on.
Seeing as we only have one period a week on voice, I haven't really had a chance to develop as much as I'd like to, and I'm not sure what particular style I like to sing best, as we havn't done many pieces in the year I've had Music.
And I really shouldn't sing along to bands, because I develop an accent from copying them. Idk...
But it's fun nonetheless (: |

I sing Soprano I, but I'm not all that great. I'd prefer being a Soprano II or an Alto, but I like singing harmony.
For our Pops concert in June, we have some solos during the breaks, and I might try out for something by Straylight Run, I'm not sure yet. Maybe if I get over my insane fears of rejection and performing in front of large audiences. |

Age: - Gender: Male Posts: 8323 | March 10th, 2008 at 12:16am I'm a singer, but I am no way 'trained'. I'm lead vocals for my band, and my voice is very important to me because that's the only instrument I have gotten to practice my whole life without much effort.
And luckily, I am pretty versitile and I'm able to go high and low, and even do a bit of screamo. Athough I know my voice is not the best in the world, I would like to think it's okay, and good enough to sustain key, tempo and sound good.
I'm all over the scales, and one day, I want to tip that very scale and wow the right person with it so I can get my big break. |

I took lessons when I was a wee one of about six or seven. They couldn't teach my the breathing though, because I was "too young."
Now, I'm in a musical theater class, and have learned the breathing from singing in my camp musicals.
I'm glad I can sing decently at the least. I can sing whatever I want, whenever and I could be the happiest person alive! ^__^
I sing mixed. Recently, I've been singing more soprano than alto, but I can sing it.
I'm glad someone put this as an instrument. I count it as one, because it takes just as much practice and training to learn to sing. |

Apparently I needed time off to let my voice grow.
The styles I mainly sing are barbershop, choir, and rock-ish stuff. |

Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 2433 | March 12th, 2008 at 11:32pm I am a singer. I love it more than basically everything in the world. I've been placed from Soprano I to Alto, but I'd say I'm most comfortable as a Soprano II. I'm in my school's choir and a children's choir run by the university in my town.
I love to sing jazz, swing, and traditional Irish music, but I enjoy singing anything, really. My dream is to be either a singer in a swing-style band or in musicals. |

I sing mostly classical for school, but when I hold private concerts in the shower, I don't care what genre I'm singing.
It'd be awesome to be part of some musical one day. Too bad I have stage-fright |

I've been singing since birth.
It's just kind of... engrained in me, I guess.
But I've been in a professional choir for about seven years now, and I've been doing opera through that choir for six years.
Opera is a lot more fun than people give it credit for.
: P
So, yeah.
My two cents.

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1760 | March 13th, 2008 at 11:05pm I love to sing. I have a very loud voice that, when I'm giving it my all, tends to mingle with whatever song I'm singing. It's very obvious when I sing.
I'd say I have a lower voice, since I can usually only sing songs that are sung by guys. I'd say it hovers between Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. The highest song I've ever sung is Lindsay Quit Lollygagging, and I'm auditioning to sing that for this thing at my school called Cabaret Night, since my best friend begged me to sing that song. So hopefully I get in. I don't know.
I've also sang Cancer by My Chemical Romance for last year's talent show in front of the whole school. Needless to say, it was the most frightening experience of my whole life, but all my teachers said I did a good job. =) |

One weird thing about my voice is that I can sing both alto and soprano. |
