Posts: 118 | July 30th, 2008 at 05:01am i think that, since the child was meant to be an abortion, it's...i don't want to say okay, because i don't really think that...it's the same as the abortion being successful. nevermind the fact that, since it's alive, it's technically a child. if the child had died, it would have been an abortion.
that said i don't believe in locking children in closets or rocking them to sleep. i think there are more humane ways to off it, even though they're not old enough to comprehend anything.
really, i think if a woman is going to get an abortion she doesn't need the additional pain of knowing the fetus didn't die, and is still alive somewhere. likewise i don't think it's fair to a child to know that it's only alive because it was a failed abortion. |

Posts: 170 | August 14th, 2008 at 07:25am Ayy abortion is bad news. For the most part, I'm pretty liberal, but Abortion alone is the one issue that keeps me thinking Republican. I'm totally pro-life through and through, and killing babies is not something I'm interested in. Maybe it's becasue I am an only child, and my mother had three miscarriages throughout my lifetime, and I would seriously give anything to see a baby survive. What's wrong with adoption? people out their would kill to have babies.
But the one issue I'm torn on is abortion in the case of rape. If I were raped, even I would want an abortion if I ended up pregnant. But that's such a messy deal because by the time youve gone through a rape trial and everything to prove that you were raped so that you can have an abortion, the baby's already born.
It's just such a messy deal. |

Infanticide is horrible and I just can't condone it. If there isn't anything wrong, other than the fact that it was a baby planned to be aborted but survived, than I believe s/he has a chance to live. It would be unfair to end a new life. |
