Named Magic and Gypsy. Magic is brown and white, and Gypsy (thats the way I spell it) is a mousy color, white and black. So cute! They are Syrian hamsters, which must be housed separately and are great for small kids Dwarf hamsters are much smaller, can be housed in single sex pairs, but they need a plastic cage, not a metal one, as they can slip through the bars. They are better suited for older children or adults as they are very quick. Hamsters are great escape artists so make sure, you have plenty of enough in their cage to play with. Even a old toilet roll will be fine for It! A hamster's teeth continue to grow through out their life, so.. By some special gnaw balls with a scent that only hamsters can smell, they will gnaw on these to keep their teeth down. For the first day, don't disturb your hamster, it will need to be settled down and left to calm. Second day, put your hand near the cage and talk to it - this way, your hamster will get used to your voice. After that, put your hand in the cage and stroke it whilst it is eating. If it bites, don't be put off! If you saw a big hand coming towards you, and you were tiny with teeth, you would bite it as well. Hamsters have very poor eyesight, like nocturnal creatures. They cannot see things close up. So this will frighten them. it will take time, but they are great pets to keep and they don't cost much to buy. get your hamster today! Got any hamsters? Sonic was really nervous and about two weeks ago we discovered Knuckles had eaten him so he now lives in the confinement tank while Sonic and Splinter live in harmony in the cage :]

Though they die easily... mine always did. >_> I had many when I was a kid but right now I have a cat and a dog, and as stated before I was always good at killing hamsters. But I gave one to my best friend on her birthday and it's doing pretty fine.

I think it was called Henry... my mum brought it without telling anyone, and my dad came home and tripped over the cage, but my mum had put it on the floor by a door for some stupid reason. I hated it, it was to squirmy. And then it died... got old and broke it's back when going round a corner in it's maze I think... I dunno, our pets always die in odd ways... But it was cute, kinda white and ginger...

She was an adventurer. One time she climbed all the way up the stairs, up on to my mum and Dads bed and was sat on my Dad's pillow when he woke up. Another time she made a bed in the sofa and we were looking for her for hours till we found her. One time she fell down a 2 foot hole under the cabinets in the kitchen and was down there for 2 days before we got her out. Two weeks later she fell down there again. We got her out again ... then she got old and died ): she was a cool hamster. Then I got Apollo. I called her Apollo because she climbed across the roof of her cage upside down and then swang ... so she kinda flew. So she was kind of like the Apollo space craft. She was a sandy color. One day my brother put her away in a hurry and her leg got caught in the door and snapped. We took her straight to the vets but decided she should be put down instead of amputation because she would probably die during the wait. ): She was a cool hamster too. My last hamster was black and she was called Mithril (like the stuff in Lord of The Rings). She was an awesome hammy hamster, she'd climb upside down and chew the bars and was generally very cool! But she used to fall off of the top bars and I think one day she had a little hamster stroke because she lost the use of her left legs and would keep falling over and then she'd just lie on her back struggling and wouldn't be able to get up again. Her eyes started pasting over too and you had to clean them with little cotton buds. One day my mum found her struggling upside down and picked her up and little Mithril, bless her, died quietly in my mums hands. ): I loved all those hamsters. But none of them lasted that long. Poor them ): I want another hamster but my mum says its not worth it because they die too quickly. I used to have a class Hamster, he had three legs. He was awesome, he was called Harry. He rocked!

His hamster's name was Chewy. Cheddar was awesome. He didn't bite anyone. But then he died. Then I got another one. I named him Gary. He was sort of...rabid-ish. He bit everyone, including me. He was like the hamster Antichrist. He got out of his cage a lot. Then he died too. And now I am hamsterless.

Err... Nick I miss them. They even got along with my cat She got one out of their running balls and it sat there and I was all AHH! RUN! Hammie was the cutest thing ever, and he had his own hamster car, and his own space station cage, and all my friends loved him. He died a couple years later though, mostly of old age. Then I got a mouse and that was a bad idea. I want another hamster but my mom says I'm not responsible enough.

Stacey (#1) died a few days after she bought it, so my mom bought a new one. My sister just thought it changed color. XD Then about a year later Stacey (#2) died.

D: And I used to drown my hamster in this fish bowl. (I was younger and stupid. I don't do it anymore.) And my other hamster died because my brother squished it with an encyclopedia. I suck at owning hamsters. They die. Easily.
