By the way, how old are you? Because unless your book is truly exceptional, I'd say 99 percent of the publishers out there won't even look at a minor's manuscript. My Dad is in publishing, so I know. :/ |

That's all I know. I hope it helped. |

We all know it has to be hard, because Dr. Seuss's books got rejected 23 times before someone decided to finally publish his first one. |

My grandma wrote a book 3 or 4 years ago, and the publishers said she had to get an agent first and stuff to look at it, and then when they did publish it, she didn't get any money for almost 2 years. |

I've wanted to publish a book since I was a ten year old writer. Many of my teachers have told me that if I ever will, to talk to them and they'll help me find some kind of publishing business that will suit me and be a good choice. I do hope this time comes. The only problem I find with it is that I get anxious about writing when I know I want to publish it, and it tends to bother me.

Age: 87 Gender: - Posts: 117 | June 29th, 2008 at 11:21am I thought about writing books as a career once but I don't think I have the patience to do it. I've got this thing where I can't sit down for more then 5 minutes. I have to stop close the notebook, go play outside, come back in and then forget where I left off so I have to reread and then start again. But if it's something your serious about go for it |

My mum wrote an auto-biography. It took her 7 years to get published. And alot of money.
But if you really want to do it. I dont think there's many things stopping you.
Just dont expect to make millions on it. XD |
