Age: 21 Gender: Female Posts: 9429 | April 28th, 2008 at 11:28pm Snakes are pretty cool to have as pets. I was afraid of them, but now I have 3 corn snakes living in my bedroom. One tank has one about 3 feet long, and thickness-wise, probably about the size of a quarter. It's like 4 years old I think, we call it "Sneaky snake" XD
Another one has 2 younger ones (2 ish years old) One's probably about a foot and a half long, about the size of a sharpie (thickness) whom I named "Frank" and the other one that I don't think is all that healthy, is about a foot long, about the size of a pencil, and we call it "Casper"
I like them, because if you put the right variety of bedding/accessories and stuff, they can really decorate a room.
They're fun to watch too, if they come out and start crawling around. Frank is funny sometimes, because when it gets active, it really crawls around, and up and everywhere. They may not be the most active creatures, but when they are, they're cool to watch.
Anyone else like snakes? or have one (or more)? |

My friend used to have two snakes, called Bart and Homer.
Bart ate Homer, then died.
Her pets all seem suicidal |

He was a ball python, about 15 years old. I had him for five years, my dad got him from somebody at work.
His name was Woody. Yes, I am good at naming my pets. He was very lazy, pretty much only moved when he was getting fed.
He got sick suddenly and died.

He was awesome.
But then he disapeared some where.
Today I held a worm.
If that counts.

That would be sooo cool. :]
I'd name him like Slick or something.
But my mom's terrified of any other animal that isn't a dog, so I highly doubt she'll let me get one or anything |

Seriously... I thought it was dead because it wouldn't move for ages, not even for food.
But then I woke up and the mouse was gone... so it clearly wasn't dead. |

I really like them! I'd like to have one but they seem hard to look after with like certain conditions and stuff? I may be wrong.
And I don't dig that feeding them mice thing... I'd probably cry XD |

I chase them around in the forest in the summer, and I let them bite me; I'm in Canada, not many are poisonous.
They're so rad.

...I once worked at a zoo, and I helped peeps clean the snake cages and such; it was so much fun... I had to quite, though.

But I REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY want a milk snake. So, so, so, so, so, so badly. It's the biggest desire I've ever had. EVER.
But my parents are scared of snakes.

I'm still whining at them. The other day my mom said I can have a snake for my 16th, but she ends up denying things a lot. |

Once when I was 7 I got to hold a really big albino python and got my picture taken with it x]
It was soo cool!
I keep asking my mom for any kind of snake, but she's afraid it'll get loose and try to eat out cats
