To Ink or not to Ink?

I personally,don't like tattoos. I mean I like them if its really small, but if it covers your whole arm, it annoys me. Its like you always wearing a long sleeve shirt.

but I also heard that you can get a tattoo that goes away after like 5 years..

Well then that's pointless, if you don't want one then don't get one, I don't know why someone would bother getting one that goes away after a certain amount of years.

But why? Some people might not want a forever tattoo, and instead just get one that will look good for a certain amount of time.

But why? Some people might not want a forever tattoo, and instead just get one that will look good for a certain amount of time.

And then you are left with a piece that is blotched and faded and just looks like a shoddy tattoo, they don't actually go away after five years and even if they did you'd be left with a scar, tattoo guns scar, you don't see it because of the pigments.

And, there are alternative methods if you only want something temporary that will fade off completely ... I'm just saying why commit to something like a tattoo, which is more permanent then a piercing, given it fades in five years or not, only to not really want it.

Honestly? I don't like them.
At all.

They just... yeah. Not my thing.
I'm one of those people who gets over things like that.
So I'd hate it after like, a year.
Plus I'd rather keep my skin clean and pure.
I don't even have piercings, and I doubt I'll ever get a tattoo.

But I generally don't have a problem with people who do have them.
I don't object to them, I just don't... like them.

i tottally agree. thats the whole point of a tattoo..is that is lasts forever. if you dont want it to last forever..dont get one!

Personally, I like them. I have three myself.

You should exercise caution though, make sure it's something you really want before going under the needle. I had one done a few years ago, a star on the inside of each wrist back in my scenester days, which I have recently had covered with something else. It looks great now and I love it, but I do wish I'd been more careful in the first place.

I like tattoos.

Sometimes, they look a bit too much on girls if they've got two "sleeves" of tattoos. If that makes sense.

But they really fascinate me. I'd like to get a small one when I'm 18.

Depending on what the sleeves consist of for me.
But, I'm getting two sleeves. That don't look all jammed together or anything. I'd never do that.

I would LOVE to get a tattoo.
Unfortunately,. my dad would disown me and kick me out.

My thing is, I would never regret a tattoo. If something is important enough to me at one time that I have to get it inked, why wouldn't I want to remember it? I'm thinking I'm gonna get a bunch through out my life, so it looks like, a journey, maybe? So once I die my life will be inked on my skin.
I'm not worried about jobs either. I don't care. I'd rather work at McDonalds forever if it means I can be inked up like I want to. It's my body.
And anyway, do people even care if you're tattooed anymore? Everyone's got one now. It's no big deal anymore.
I can't wait to be all old and they will be all saggy and gross, so much that you won't be able to tell what it is.

There was a survey not too long ago I saw on the news where work places find piercings alot more off putting them tattoos.
