Um, well I have a n00bish question: I got my nose pierced the other day and when I looked in my nose the other day and I could swear that I wasn't able to see the hook. Now when I look in the mirror in my nose, the hook is hanging down touching the bottom of my nose.
So basically I was wondering if this was normal? Since like I said, I'm a n00b. XD

It's perfectly fine, nose studs tend to move around a bit.

Ah, alright. Thank you. Cute

Haha, if you have a cold it doesn't do anything.

I got a cold a few days after I got my nose done. The ring just made it slightly awkwardto wipe my nose is all ... XD

I'm thinking about getting my eyebrow pierced and my nose too. Is there any reason not to get them both done at the same time?

^^ You might be able to get a discount, which is a plus side.
I saved £10 when I got two helix piercings at once. Just might be my piercing place, though.
Just make sure you're in good health and there shouldn't be a problem Cute

Is the backing on a nose piercing the same as the backing on an earring? Or is it smaller?

... there is no backing, is there?

Unless you mean like hook earrings.

The a nose stud is pretty much this shape... ¬ but about three times as big.

If that's what you mean. If not, I have no idea what you mean, sorry.

Sometimes I think I'd like a little nose stud, but I dunno if I'd suit it.

My boyfriend's not too keen on facial piercings though.

They're not that noticable. The people in my class didn't notice I'd had my nose pierced for about half a year, they only noticed because I wore a nose ring that day.

I think you might suit a little silver stud in your nose or something...

I know, but you have give and take on things Laughing I lopped my hair off when he adores it long, so I think I can maybe behave myself with the piercings.

I'm just not sure if I'd suit it either. Still contemplating that navel piercing though Wink

My friend got her lip pierced two days ago, and I have a question.

Her lips are getting very dry and chapped. Is there anything she can do to help that? Like, would it be okay if she used Chap Stick or something? Or would it not be safe?

I mean, because you guys have said that you shouldn't let anything get near the piercing, like moisturizer and stuff. So I wasn't sure if Chap Stick [or some other alternative] would be okay or not.

^ I think it would be fine, I got my snakebites when I was 10.
And they healed straight away, it was great.
But last year I got my septum pierced like my brother did and it wouldn't heal at all so I took it out.
And if you don't think a piercing would suit you, then photoshop a piercing in and then see if it looks okay.

Also my brothers friend has done all her piercings herself, lips, navel, nose and ears.
And not one has gotten infected, they are so professionally done, its pretty awesome.
Needless to say she wants to be a piercer...and she hates needles haha.

Chap stick or any lip conditioner should be fine on her lips as long as it doesn't get the actual piercing hole.

Oh, alright.

It's okay, I just asked my friends brother and he lost one of his so he had to put an actual earring in it.

I was kind of confused. Wouldn't that damage it then?

A normal earring stud you mean? It would so some damage depending on how long it was left. it would be far to short and pressure would be built up on the butterfly clip side. Scratching could be caused from the tip and so on.

Apparently it was only in for a day, but that's why I was wondering cause I was thinking 'How can that be comfortable?'
