Is this normal for stretching, or am I in trouble? I mean, it's not a blow out, right? Cause those things look nasty.

It's never happened before, so I'm a little concerned...

It actually looks like your flesh tube has been pushed out a bit.

My nose screw has got into the habit of falling out recently.
It's fallen out twice while I've been sleeping and once in the shower.

Is there anything I can do to...make it stay in properly?

My friend got her lip pierced two days ago, and I have a question.

Her lips are getting very dry and chapped. Is there anything she can do to help that? Like, would it be okay if she used Chap Stick or something? Or would it not be safe?

I mean, because you guys have said that you shouldn't let anything get near the piercing, like moisturizer and stuff. So I wasn't sure if Chap Stick [or some other alternative] would be okay or not.

The same thing happened to me, and I used Chap Stick maybe 6 times a day for almost two weeks and I'm doing just fine. XD

Alright, so I got my second set on love piercings about a month and a half ago. They healed at the beginning of this month perfectly fine, but now one is infected and is just...gross. It got this way about five day ago. This happened a few years ago when I got it done professionally and I took both out since it was the easiest answer - that's why I know I didn't do anything wrong while piercing it. I don't want to take it out this time since it's only on one side.

What are some ways where I can try to heal it?
Could it possibly just be my ear? My mom had the same problem when she was my age and tried to have a second set.

^ Lobe piercings generally get infected quite easily, at least in my experience, speaking from if it's with a gun and in a profesional place. Mine did and so did my friend's when she got her second lobes, but luckily they went away.

I'd say don't take it out, but just keep cleaning it as you would usually (twice a day, sea salt water) and don't play with it or change the jewelery. For now just look after it and see if the infection clears up.

As for the thing with your mom having similar problems; that's probably just because it's such a common issue. I doubt it's hereditary. My mom can't wear any piercing jewelery for example, yet I'm fine with it.

Ah, that's good. It seems to be getting better - not as red anymore.
I'm planning on going swimming soon since it's hot out. Is chlorine bad for it? I know it helps heal other wounds and infections.

I think it might be fine, but I'm not certain. There are some issues with bacteria and whether or not the pools clean and stuff, but I've heard a lot of mixed reactions about chlorine to be honest. Just make sure you clean them well afterwards.

Wiki tells me chlorine can dry out piercings and make them crack/tear, too. I don't know anything about that, though.

Chlorine is bad for it, the best thing you can do it go to the doctor and get some anti biotics and keep up with the sea salt soaks.

I can imagine it is very poisonous. But it does dry out the skin and holds bacteria in a pool.

I have no clue what sea salt soaks are - never even heard of them before this thread - and have no money to go to the doctors nor store. I don't even have a car at the moment since my mom's broke down. All I have to use is what I have in my medicine chest. I've found some cream that kills bacteria earlier today while looking. Same with peroxide. Yeah yeah, I've read on this thread that it's bad for piercings, but that's what's been helping it heal. Since I started using that it hasn't been as red. Considering my piercing is already healed all the way I doubt there's a problem. (Even though I've used it on my cartilage and that's never been infected or had a hard time healing. File)

What I've learned is that heated chlorine holds bacteria. So like water that's been sitting in the sun and has warmed up holds bacteria unlike cooler water with chlorine. That's what I've learned and read before. Why else would the put it into pools? But I can see how it's bad for open wounds and piercings.
