I have my first standard lobe holes and my navel.
I'd love my septum pierced, but I'm not allowed. |

I recommend keeping them in longer then six weeks, as a general rule I don't change over till the piercing it healed and there is no crust and no anything coming from the piercing, which is longer then six weeks.
Okay. Thanks. Any idea how long that would be? Or is it different for each person?
It is different for every person, you need to just keep an eye on them. |

I don't think that's true, the way I see it, I'm not getting piercings for everyone to gawk at, they are for me and how many I have is my choice and people should stop being so concerned with what everyone else looks like and is doing with themselves and pay more attention to what they are doing. |

It would and doing that would also cause scar tissue to form around the piercing hole, if you're not allowed one, best not to bother, there are other piercings you can have that aren't visible to everyone else. |

I didn't know you weren't allowed piercings in the police force. |

Having half of your face covered in metal isn't exactly normal, so people are going to gawk wherever you go. Having a lot of piercings is very unprofessional and a lot of employers frown upon it. I'd rather have job opportunities and look classy than have a metal bar in my skin that's noticeable and frowned upon. |

Well I'd rather be happy with the way I look then not, and like I said people need to stop be so concerned with other people and take a look at themselves. I love piercings, the more the better, I don't really have any concern in getting to know people who think piercings are trashy.
And we already know alot of employment opportunities look down upon anything more then lobe piercings, but piercings can be taken out and put back in later if that is the case, but I think judging a person over a non permanent fixture if quiet pathetic. |

I got my lip pierced about 6 weeks ago, and after the first week, a white bump appeared on the outside of my lip directly under the piercing. I'm thinking it's scar tissue since for some reason whenever I ate or talked, the ring would move on it's own, but I'm not sure.
Anyone have any ideas? |

By the sounds of it, it is scar tissue. A certain amount of trauma is caused during the initial piercing, so scar tissue isn't unusual. |

Age: 27 Gender: Male Posts: 5221 | July 31st, 2008 at 11:21am I have 5 piercings as of right now.
My two ears, which are both stretched to 7/16.
Snakebites, they didn't really hurt all that much.
And my eyebrow was just a dull pain. It bled a bit but not much.
I also had the side of my nose done but I took it out, deciding I wanted my septum done instead. Besides, I had only had it for a few weeks. It was more of a thrill of the moment thing when I was at the beach. That one hurt, but it wasn't majorly bad. |

As for Angel_of_Parade, there are certain studs and such which are incredibly transparent and designed specifically for those who want to keep their peircings and their jobs. |
