| Synyster Gates Writer's Block Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 62 | I used to love the "Twilight" Saga! But that was until I really thought about all of the characters & the whole meaning of the book. It's basically about this clumsy, danger magnet girl who falls in love with a vampire. Vampire leaves girl. Girl becomes a helpless zombie. I mean in all actuality the book is really pathetic on her outlook on the concept of love. No real guy would actually want a girl as pathetic as Bella. She isn't self-sufficient & needs Edward more than she should. Guys like girls that are self-sufficient & that are at least a little bit independent but not to the point where your like "I can do everything myself". They want a girl that will that would be able to carry on in life in a positive way if something bad ever happened to them. Bella isn't any of those things. I don't care if she is a friggin' teenager. She should still be able to do those things, which she can't. I'm never picking up a "Twilight" book again unless it's to talk about how pathetic it is. |
| miatastic. Ink Slinger Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 844 | ^ Eh, I don't know about that... So you're saying that all boys like/love girls who are the exact opposite of Bella? I don't know about that. That's like saying a guy will never ever like a girl who's fat. You know, you can't tell people who and not to like. >_> |

| blood_angel Writer's Block Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 75 | Lestat?: YEAH TOTALLY! I'll be like going to get the fake blood refreshments every ten minutes. ANd I'll stare down all the humans. I'll go up to every human and be like...YOU SMELL NICE! and if they say thanks I'll say You probably should take that as a threat! I've done that before. I did it to some random person, didn't even know they read twilight and she said, I'LL SICK THE VOLTURI ON YOU! and then we got into a big discussion it was really funny. ![]() |

| Antic Interlude.. Writer's Block Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 54 | Lestat?: I completely agree. I think that it's oh so sweet. The Twilight saga are my favourite books. I can't wait to get my hands on Breaking Dawn. (: You can't go around telling the world how pathetic a book is because it's showing that even the most vunerable of people find love. It's showing you that there is hope. Even for the hopeless. Nobody likes someone who is always doing stuff for themselves because when you try to help them or spend time with them to do stuff, they take over or get in a mood because you're helping. Believe me, I have friends that way. :/ |
| Antic Interlude.. Writer's Block Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 54 | mOBSCENE.: No offense to the people who are like that but nice.. I'm going by what my friend is like. ^^ ( Not many people put up with her. ) |
| Samantha Ruelle Writer's Block Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 42 | mOBSCENE.: I also have friends that way and it really is no fun. I know that there is always a time to be independent and other times its ok to be dependent. Just some people, like Bella, are more dependent. Not only that, she's a trouble magnet. That makes EVERYTHING complicated. |
| Antic Interlude.. Writer's Block Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 54 | ^ Haha.. it does. (: |
| Spaztastic Grammar Guru Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 5396 | mOBSCENE.: Bella is the stereotypical girl that can't help herself. If you read other stories where the girl always gets hurt she always gets a mysterious guy or the most popular. Look at fairy tales. That happens all the time. The distressed girl always gets the main guy character because he's her "hero". Most people on this site talk about how they hate the Mary Sue characters, but Bella is one! Some people do likes others who do everything for themselves so they don't have to do anything. Some people are like that, just like some people like others who need help. Most guys though don't like girls who can't do anything for themselves. Really, it would get tiring and annoying after awhile. I go around saying I hate this book because it's cliche and has no original plot, no original characters, no nothing. I've seen the plot is many other books. It's nothing new or redefining the genre. It's especially boring when I'm able to skip 100 pages and still know what's happening. |

The book has absolutely no origanal anything! |
| Trevor Moore Fanfic Fanatic Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 2225 | Synyster.Vengeance.: That is exactly how I feel! Honestly, I was re-reading the books and laughing at them. I've come to realize that yeah, Edward is suave and gorgeous, but he's also a hollow, one dimensional and dare I say - creepy? I find his dialogue to be unrealistic and borderline obsessive. No offense to all the Twilight/Cullen fans out there. |

| above the influence Student Shakespeare Age: 14 Gender: Male Posts: 7466 | The Phantom.: I still like the book itself, though I would say indeed that I'm not completely head over heels into it like I was back in Feb. 2008. I agree about Bella being all weak, not able to protect herself and always need some guy or person to save her.. She needs to be stronger. I like Carlise now, Edward is still my favorite though he's number two. Carlise's story is pretty interesting. |
| Antic Interlude.. Writer's Block Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 54 | Spaztastic: But the people who like this book are people who like the clichés! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and stuff but if you don't like it then create a new topic for Twilight haters. (: |
| Spaztastic Grammar Guru Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 5396 | ^ Obviously you don't know the rules. I see that you're not a n00b, so you should know all rules. You better learn them if you don't want something to happen. But yeah, why would I make a hate thread if I could when I have this one? That way, people who like it can see how some of them are hypocrites. I'm entitled to my opinion, like you said. I'm allowed to come on this thread and say I hate the book. I've backed up my opinion more than others have when they say they hate it. I've even showed some people are hypocrites by saying they hate stereotypical characters, yet like Bella. Even Edward is stereotypical and cliche. =] |

| ThexVampiresxKiss Writer's Block Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 30 | Okay, we get the point. You hate the book. Twiligh fans know that Bella is hopeless and weak. She needs Edward. But he needs her too. Their love and the dramas that go with it is what makes the books good. You don't have to like the books, but you don't have to flaunt that. I know that I am a hypocritical cliche- loving Twilight fan, and I'm happy that way. SO leave us alone. ~Threnody |
| danger radio. Grammar Guru Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 3691 | ThexVampiresxKiss: I second that. It's time to grow up and stop being so childish by doing nothing but hating on the book. There are plenty of things I hate out there, yet I don't sit on Mibba threads of them and rant. |
