I cremated both of my bunnies and am glad I did do.
Their ashes stay in my bedroom and I can talk to them whenever I like. |

I thought that was better than burying her. |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 716 | July 20th, 2008 at 05:34pm We buried our hamsters, but had our cat cremated. I'm pretty sure we'll do the same with the rest. I wanted to bury them in a pet cemetery, but my mom says it's too expensive. But I'd rather have them cremated, I think, because then they can be with me still. Instead of having to drive to visit their grave. |

I find the whole cremating process and keeping of the ashes a bit creepy. |

I think it's kind of creepy, too. But we buried one of my pets at my old house. So when we moved we had to leave her behind. It made me so upset, so now we cremate our pets. We might bury some in a pet cemetery though, I'm not sure. |

Because I get really attached to them, and still want somewhere to talk to them... |

Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 191 | July 24th, 2008 at 08:15pm I've burried two hamsters in my garden...when our dog dies, I'm not really sure what we're going to do then. I mean I would like to have him cremated and then spread out on the moors where he loves the most but then again, I would like to have him burried somewhere in the garden so he's easy to go and see and talk to.... |

I still talk to her and I celebrated her birthday this year with her. I still love her a ton, and at times I feel like she's still here :) <3 |

I don't like the thought of her body rotting away and being eaten by maggots. |

But if we did bury or cremate...it'll definitely be burying...it's free and closer to the home that they know.... |

I made little gravestones for all of them, but you can't really see them anymore. I'm not sure which pet is where in all honesty. But it doesn't really matter because, when I feel like it, I just go and tell them all I hope they're having a nice time in pet heaven and that I miss them. |

Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 429 | August 14th, 2008 at 07:35am Only pet that I ever really lost through death, was a guinea pig and we buried her in the backyard near the garden and firepit, in a shoebox filled with the woodchips we used to bed her cage with, and we threw in a couple of colored woodblocks she'd chew on for fun. My mom refused to have her cremated, since the idea of things being burned disturbs her. |

I don't want them to die, though. So I'm not gonna think bout it anymore.. |
