I mean, isn't the Maximum Ride series awesome to the MAX? (no pun intended.....or maybe kind of ) Quote Six unforgettable kids -- with no families, no homes -- are running for their lives. Max Ride and her best friends are products of an experiment: they were engineered to fly. And that's just the beginning of their amazing powers. Now they've escaped, and they need to know who made them, who's hunting them, and why they were designed to be superior to all other humans. James Patterson calls Maximum Ride: "My favorite story, and probaby my best." This is the only book series that I ever gotten addicted to in my life. I love it so much that I ended up completing the first two books in less than two days. I know that the 4th book was basically a disappointment and I hope that the 5th book could make up for that. (Yes, 5th book. James Patterson himself confirmed of a 5th book coming up in an interview. ) So who's all excited about the movie coming out? I know we'll all have to wait since it's not gunna be out 'til about 2010-ish as it says in Fang's Blog . But I think of it as somewhat of a good thing. If it takes at least a couple years to make a movie, then it's most likely that it's not gunna be a total disaster, right? On top of that, Avi Arad's producing so we're in for a major treat either way. Maximum Ride PWNS!

Angel kind of freaks me out, but then she's pretty cool. And just so everyone knows, Nudge is not pronouced [nuhj]. Nudge / [nooj] / noun 1. to annoy with persistent complaints, criticisms, or pleas; nag. 2. to nag, whine, or carp. 3. a person who nudges; pest.

I was in a pharmacy looking at the paperback books (I know, lame right?). I grabbed a couple of Dan Brown books and then Maximum Ride (first one) because the cover had a picture of Max and I thought that it looked cool (she has WINGS for christ's sake!). So I just bought it on a whim.

In regards to the manga, it's coming out in Yen Plus magazine I belive on July 29th at major bookstores and what else. And, as a crazy fangirl I am, Iggy looks H-O-T mangafied.

The idea for Maximum Ride came from those first two books, but the characters aren't the same and neither is the School. Patterson says so himself. But my mom has read WTWB and she says it's pretty good.

n-si6 Amateur Author Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 242	July 27th, 2008 at 09:41pm There'd been so many vids on YouTube of people saying what the cast should be in their opinion. This vid in particular, is even featured in the most recent blog post in Fang's Blog. I like the idea of Ellen Page as Max but my only problem about this is that Ellen's too short, like around 5'1". So I'm not too sure of that. Dhani Harrison seems to be a promising Fang even though he's not really an actor. But he definitely got the hotness down. Again, Alex Pettyfer seems promising to be Iggy. Total hotness. I remember Parker Mckenna Posey from "My Wife and Kids." (funny show as well ) I think she would do a good Nudge. I also remember Freddie Highmore mostly from the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" movie a couple years ago. Unsure if he would do a good Gazzy in a long run, especially since he's about 5'6" now. Elle Fanning's just too PERFECT for Angel!! I cannot say more than that. Hugh Jackman apparently is a popular choice for Ari since, in book 2 i think, Ari was mistaken as Wolverine by the kiddies in Disney World. Who knows? Since Avi Arad did work in the X-Men movies, there could be a possibility. I don't really watch "Heroes" so idk much about David Anders being Jeb. I'm not gunna say more on the other characters. Mainly because I'm too lazy at this point. lol But all of them seem to be good choices for them.

Just about anyone I've asked about who should be Angel has said it needs to be a Fanning girl. Before she got too tall it was Dakota, now it's Elle. They have a kind of creepy factor.

Had a shameless crush on Fang from then on. I stopped reading them for a while after finishing the second book, and now I need to start the fourth one. But I really do adore this series.

[SPOILER] It's just like "oh, everyone that was after us is dead, but oh wait, oh no! There's another dude! Run awaaay! And while we're at it, let's stop global warming! Whoa, and just when the uber evil dude is dead, there's something ELSE to start!" He's milking this series just a tad too much, don't you think?
