Last night my family decided that we're going to let my best friend, Damien live with us for awhile (He's been kicked out of his dad's place and hates living with his mum. Yada yada yada)

So then I got to wondering, who else has friends living with them?
Who has adopted siblings, or foster care?

We're not officially adopting Damien. Just taking him in.

My friend is staying with my other friend because she got kicked out of her house. Apparently it's really fun to live together for now, but my friend said she's moving out before they can get sick of each other. XD

If he is your best friend then it really shouldn't matter because in a werid way they already are family to you just not by blood...Yes
But look at it this way...if you need someone to turn to...they live down the hall from you lol XD

Thats what I'm excited about.

Usually when we feel shitty, he visits me for a few days.

Now I just have to walk down the hall!

My mum's gonna be a foster carer, so I'm gonna have to get used to it.
Well, if you're doing it for a good cause, like you said, seeing as he was kicked out his house, then theres no bother I think. Cute

My brother's friend, let's call him "Jeb", got one of those DUIs or DWIs or whatever acronym it is, so my brother had to drive him everywhere for about three weeks, and he thought it would be fun to have a sleepover every single one of those days. *eyes twitch* The weird part was that neither on eof them wore a shirt around the house and my dad kept saying something like "I don't want those greasy teenage boys on my new couch!" He was around so much that Mom would call him "my other son" or "your new brother". Plus, almost every night he would get up and go to the bathroom which is fine I guess, but there are three doors on the way that he has to open and close in the dark, and he either had very bad depth perception or bad night vision because he would fumble with each doorknob for about 20 seconds apiece. Needless to say, nobody in the house got any sleep. Also, his mom would knock on our door every morning at 7 for about a minute.

My bf's mother lives with us.

That's right, his mother lives with us.

She came up from Hervey Bay with no money, no job and no where to stay because "God" told her to. And three years on, she still has no money and no job, but oh she lives with us.

The woman is in her late fifties for fuck sake. And she has nothing, I swear she is a nut job and I can't wait till we move, because she isn't coming with us. It's harsh, but she had everything in Hervey Bay and she comes up here, for no reason, it's driving me nuts, totally mental.

Wow.
She shouldn't really be there.
I think.. Shifty

People across the road from us, have their mum there, but, she's not allowed to be there.
It's illegal or something. Shifty
Cause they're only paying rent for two people and there's three.

My mom's friend stayed for a while, it was a nightmare, she didn't do any work, didn't thank my mom and just went out to the pub with her mates most nights.

my mom's boyfriend wants to live with us, but i said not until i'm in college so i don't have to deal with it.

and my sister and her boyfriend live in my basement, but that's okay because she's my saving grace when my mother irritates me and forces me to act like the adult in our situation.

When my family(my mom, dad, and sister) moved to New Orleans, my sister vaguely told us her boyfriend was coming too. He didn't have a house or a job, or a brain.

He didn't even approach us and ask my parents if he could move in with us. He and my sister got engaged after only 2 months of dating, THEN, when he found out we were moving he invited himself to come along!!! How messed up is that! It took us 6 months to get him out of our house. It was purely havoc having him around. He couldn't keep a job for over 4-5 days because he kept falling asleep on the job. ( He has sleep apnea-for those who don't know, it's a sleep disorder, he could only sleep for a few second at a time before waking up for lack of oxygen, which also ment that he could snore louder than our T.V. at MAXIMUM volume.) I know he can't help with his sleep disorder, but he had a special mask to help him sleep, he never used it and he would fall asleep while we were talking or watching T.V., it's just rude. He had more W-2 forms than both my parents have had combined!! That boy never even paid us rent and ate our food like a hog, 4-6 servings worth in ONE sitting!! I kid you not.

To top it all off, he started trying to control my sister. Telling her that she couldn't hang out with her friends and that we, her family, were against her and didn't want her happiness, but HE did. Isn't that funny? I hope no one ever has to go through this kinda crap...or worse.

My mom's a childminder , and she's had this kid Oisin since he was six months.
He obviously lives at his own home as well , but this house is his second home. He stays for up to three days here.

I don't like him , to be honest. A therapist told me it was jealousy.

I don't believe him ^_^

My mum's friend stayed with us for six months. He lived in our garage, which has a sink and a toilet so he didn't come upstairs too much, except to have showers in the middle of the freaking night. He didn't pay rent, and a few times he brought his friends around, and one came upstairs and mum got all paranoid that she might steal our stuff, so that didn't happen again.

Then we decided he had been there for too long, kicked him out and he threatened to set a gang on my mother. You know, because letting him stay with us for six months rent-free while he was an ungrateful bastard to us was just SO rude.

I've almost left home a number of times. Unfortunately I'm still pretty young so I can't do much. Next year though, as soon as it gets too much for me to handle, I'm gone.
Maybe my Dad's right though; I run away when things get too hard. Don't know anymore.

My brother's friend has stayed with us for weeks at a time. He boards at the same school my brother goes to, which is about fifteen minutes from us, and he can't afford to fly home every time they have a break. So he stays with us Cute He's really fun to hang out, and like insanely smart Cheese He always helps me with my homework xD. We've only met his parents once though, and we never talk to them on the phone or anything. Which I find kind of odd, but they always give my mom really pretty necklaces.

My dad's best friend and his family live with us, and my 3 adopted cousins whom I now call my brother and sisters, my somewhat grandpa, my dad's best friend's parents, and then us. All in one house. Four bedrooms.
It's crazy, 10 kids, 7 adults.
Sometimes my grandparents and aunt and uncle stay with us when their utilities get shut off.
That makes 4 more at times
My house looks almost like an orphanage with all the kid's paintings hanging up and my paintings of colorful fish and trees and flowers randomly around the house on the walls
& there's always loud music
But there's this guy that lives with us who's about my age
He's in love with me and it gets pretty creepy
I wait until he's asleep to shower, even though I've never caught him peek on me haha
I'm paranoid

That was when I met my now step-mum. She took us in and we lived together but I didn't know her for the first two years because she was constantly at work until she got pregnant with my half-brother. Then afterwards I started to become close with her. We kinda became a family.

Then there's the friends that stay over for ages, and they just become part of the family. You're hesitant at first but after a while, if the person is nice and cooperates they are just like your other family members under the house. Very Happy

My dad's girlfriend (or fiancé, depending on the day. Rolling Eyes) moved in with us and brought her five, now six year old daughter with her ... not even a year after her husband passed away. I can't stand her! She has her cool moments and she'd be more tolerable if she wasn't in my fucking face 24/7, but it just so happens that she is and she delights in making my life hell. She is completely and totally rude to me. She never takes me into consideration for ANYTHING. She bosses my dad about and tries to tell him what to do with me and things like that. (For example, I had pissed her off one day and she tried to tell him I had to pack my shit and leave.) She also blatantly refuses to let me eat certain things bought at the grocery. During the day, she goes out to fast food or something and gets something, but doesn't bother to ask me if I want any and really, I couldn't care less because I usually don't, but ffs, she brings it back and eats it in front of me! Her kid is a total demon-child to me. She's got her trained to treat me like shit and I get the shit end of the stick from all sides in the house. To top it all off, she sits on her arse and does nothing while I go through the house and clean.

I can't wait to move, I sure won't miss this crap.
