I'm ahead of everybody, even though I'm already a grade ahead of what I'm suposed to be in...

I don't know whats so great about it, my friends are all dumber then me and I sometimes confuse them, I'm not teased or anything but you have extrememly high expectations put on you and you know everyone is expecting you to ace everything, for instance when I get a 97 on a test, It's a shocker... *sighs*

It's kinda stinks being way younger than everyone else, and that people do want to copy your work, it's like I wouldn't let you the first three times you asked what makes you think I would now? I use to like it because I got out of boring classes and got to take more challenging classes, but the Challenge program I was in ends in high school so I don't get to take it anymore.

I was smarter than most of the people in my primary Shifty...
I always got good marks and stuff.
It was weird, seeing as everyone used to ask me for answers and stuff.

I'm a bit smart. I've been getting straight A's since elementary school, but I'm really lazy and slack off a lot. I agree with what someone else said about teachers just giving the smart kids good grades because they're smart. In the Algebra class that I took back in middle school, it'd be pretty obvious that I was paying absolutely no attention to the class (I was in a small school) and I never got in trouble. Also, every once in a while the class would take a quiz and the teacher would just skim through my work and give me a perfect grade. While I'm happy I got away with so much, I know it's not very fair to me or my classmates.

My friend Cin is 12. She's in high school.

It's depressing, but she's really nice. I was actually surprised when I realized how much we had in common.

And she helps me on my homework all the time. Cute

I was put forward a year, but I'm really paying for it now because I have to take an extra year of secondary (high school), because in Ireland, you have to be 17 to get into most colleges and universities, and I'd be 16 when I'm leaving. It's not that bad, a few of my friends are in the same position, and I really like my year, it's not as intense as others, it's quite relaxing...

Although I will have to wait for my exam results which I'm getting on Wednesday to tell you if I'm a 'child genius'.

Toxic.:

Do you guys think that happens, like sometimes 'the smart kids' just get the good marks anyway...

I agree, totally.

Unfortuantely, I'm one of the people who get the good marks when I don't deserve them.

I could never be considered a genius (seriously, ever) but I am in some of the top classes and I know for a fact that some of my teachers give me the top marks regardless of what I've done. That annoys me, I'm not learning anything! Clearly, if I got it wrong, I need more help learning it!

Last year, for my R.E coursework, I had to write why I believed in God and me not believeing in God, I wrote about why I didn't. My R.E teacher loved me and convienantly 'lost' my coursework and then basically told me to lie to get the marks, and he cared about my future.

My brother is classed as a genius though, he converted minutes to seconds at a train station when he was three Disgust

I can't do that now File

Nobody else in my class got that chance. That's unfair

In my first school, when I was in P2 (so I was like 6) I got moved up a year, and was about to get moved up another year when I changed schools, and my parents/ teachers decided to move me back to the year I was supposed to be doing... so for 2 years I didn't learn anything new.

By all means, let kids move up a year or two, but please, don't move them back down...

My older brother is super intelligent. At the age of three, in nursery school, he painted something and when the teacher asked him what it was, he said it was a stegosaurus and wrote 'stegosaurus' on the page... the teacher went to find a dictionary to see if he had spelt it right. Indeed he had.

I puke everytime that story's told... Disgust

People think I'm a hermit 'cause I can type really really fast.
I'm all, "WTF?".
But yeah, I'm the one of the fastest typers in my hospitality class.

I agree with the whole 'smart kids get good grades always' thing.
It happened to me in Primary and everyone would ask me how the hell I got them, and to be honest, I didn't know. Shifty

My school is an all girls grammar school and we're all on an accelerated curriculem. Basically we do everything one year early and can start taking our A/S levels in Year 11.

I never got put forward, though my teachers always wanted me to. I refused every time. If it were up to my teachers, I'd probably be in a university by now.

To me, it's hell to be this smart. Well, it's mostly the way people handle me. They think I can do anything. They expect too much of me.
You know, everyone considers being too stupid a problem, and being too smart is a gift. In reality, it's an equally big problem.

No one really understands, but I really do wish I wasn't this smart.

I was always ahead in math. I was in senior math my freshman year of high school, and now, in my senior year, I'm taking a college level calc 2 class. It's a little weird being the youngest and the first day of class my freshman year a lot of people looked at me weird. Probably thought I was lost.

Other than that its not too bad. A lot of my friends come to me for help, but I want to be a math teacher so I don't mind explaining things to them. I also made a lot of good friends who I wouldn't usually meet because they were so much older than me.

I'm smart but I'm not if that makes any sense. My teacher gives me Year Nine & Ten advanced work because Year Eight stuff bores me and I fly through it all in every subject.

But when I was younger the school tried to put me up a year because I was reading, writing and speaking fluently before I even started Kindy. Apparently I never did because I told my Mummy I was scared of the big kids. lmfao

I'm happy with how smart I am, ktnxbai.
Nah, I really am. I mean, I wouldn't want to be a genuis. So much would be expected of you and whatnot. At least now, no one really expects anything of me.

All my teachers are like, if you put your mind to it you could do year 11 work and get A's,
but I guess I'm not that kind of assignment/school person
if you ask me the essay topic, I'll explain it like that
but I just hate.. work I guess
I've also been told I'm wise Shocked
actually as far as I know right now, I'm not passing because I never hand my work in on time.

You don't want it to matter.
I take every bit of information they give us at school as vital, interesting information. I think it's our mission, purpose to know.

I used to be smart, dunno what happened.....

Apparently, according to my teachers I'm a "bright" girl. I'm content with that. That's all.

Though obvious questions asked during class, irritate me. Especially when they're found in the book; if the person cared to read. >.<
