Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 750 | August 7th, 2008 at 01:48pm I'm finishing A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown. It's about a girl who was given to an abusive foster parent after her mother died and since then, her life spirals out of control due to drink, drugs and 'turning tricks' (giving sexual favours for money) to make a living.
I'm taking that book on holiday, and when I finish it I'm going to read Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, which just got delivered to my house this morning. I'm so excited, I can't wait to find out what heppens next. |

The Dark Tower is amazing.
I don't have any assigned reading, but here's what I've read so far this summer (I have this really weird habit of writing down all the books I read, so this is 100% accurate, ordered by date)
Taken - Thomas Cook
The Twilight Watch - Sergei Lukyanenko
The Constant Gardener - John Le Carre
The Secret of Lost Things - Sheridan Hay
Black Sunday - Thomas Harris
Duma Key - Stephen King
The Other Boleyn Girl - Phillippa Gregory
Breaking Dawn - Stephenie Meyer
Twilight (again) - Stephenie Meyer |

This is what comes of being bored as hell. I won't post the whole list but some of my favourites have been Lolita (Vladimir Nabokov), Midnight's Children (Salman Rushdie) and Wuthering Heights, by Emily Brontë. All of which I would highly recommend. |

I loved Saturday, it was my favourite so far :]
At the moment I'm reading Bombproof by Michael Robotham, (I got it free with Superior Saturday ) I didn't like it atfirst but it's got better as I got more into the plot. Also reading Robin of Sherwood by I-can't-remember-who, it's strange. I don't know if I like it or not. I've also got the Day After Tomorrow, which I like but can't be bothered to read :B
I just finished the new Artemis Fowl book too. I didn't think there would be another one, when I saw it in Borders it made me happy. I squealed and ran over to the kid's section and they looked at me strange : P |
