Please lock if there is another one like this. I looked for about twenty minutes and found nothing.

Today in the United States most people are living without their mothers or dads and I know I am not the only one. I do not know about in other countrys.

In my family I live with my nanny. My brother and sister live with me to. My family is like one big one, my aunt and her family always are over and so is my uncles family. I always feel left out because I don't have anyone who will choose me. I know you are probably thinking for what. Shocked Well, I was thinking last night and if me and lets say my cousin hayley were about to get shot and the dude with the gun says to my aunt, her mom, choose one to live. She would choose hayley. Same goes for everyone else. I have no one who will choose me. My family is really close and I love them with all my heart but I want someone to choose me!

When we are at Bazar or a social gathering and I see people with their moms or dads I feel jealous and always want to cry. I know I sound spoiled but I tell no one this so I am ranting to you. Lucky you. Ha Ha

I know I am rambling but does anyone ever feel left out?
Anyone feel alone?
Am I over reacting?

Now talk.

I know exactly how you feel. I love my family, but i have nothing in common with them.
The one i have most in common with is my mum. But my older sister is 18, so they have more to talk about because she's older.
My brother and dad have lots to talk about because they like cars and computers.
So I'm just like... "hello?"
I say something at the same time as my sister, and My sister gets a response. Not me.
It really gets to me at times. I try to have something in common with them, but when I try, it doesn't work.
I'm completely different to all of them.
Sorry, I'm rambling now, too.
Hug I guess we just have to put up with it.

I'm so sorry about this.
Don't worry, you'll find someone that will choose you over the rest of the world hun. Arms
You aren't over-reacting in my opinion.
It's perfectly fine the way you're reacting.

I kinda' know where your coming from, I live with my mum and my sister and my sister is typical genius, straight A*'s and as you can imagine, she is often favorites. They don't really get where I come from in anything I do, and have no interest in my writing. But hey, I have friends that look after me : )

I feel like this sometimes too. I only have one sibling, but it seems like my parents always choose him over me.
Expecially right now. I had like a million papers to get signed for school, and my brother had the same. But instead of filling mine out, my dad only did the ones where he had to sign them. They filled out all of my brothers ones. And when I asked my dad this morning if he could do them, he's like 'I asked your mom to do it. I'm already pissed off today, I don't feel like doing it.

I can understand what you're going through, I feel like my dad's doing that to me all the time.
I mean, he's a good guy and all but if he had to choose between me and his new family...well, he'd choose the latter. I feel like a third wheel whenever I'm over at his place.

If I were you, I'd just brush them off, say "Whatever" and find someone that would choose me over another person. I mean like, you can't let the fact that these people are totally missing out on getting close to you run the way you feel forever, yeah?

Good luck, girly. Arms

this might make me sound like a spoiled brat, but i'm gonna say it anyways. my brother is 22 years old, and he comes up pretty often, but whenever he comes up to see us, my mom always listens to him and spends about $300 on WHATEVER he wants whenever he wants it. it's not fair; i don't ask for anything from my mother except an occasional $5 for lunch or something of the sort, and he gets a new friggin' ipod! it's ridiculous!

Everyone feels like that sometimes, it's perfectly normal. Everyone feels left out, everyone feels like no one loves them, but really, you would be surprised at how many people love you.

There are already people out there who would choose you, you just have to see it.

Prepare for a old cliché-ish story.

Okay, so My sister and I are 9 years apart, right? And my three cousins and 24, 18, and 17. My parents moved down to Virginia, where they had been living in Pennsylvania, a month or two before they found out My mother was pregnant with me. My cousins and my sister were close growing up, and, everytime I'm around them, I just feel like, "What the fuck? I'm here too!"
I even had my seventeen year old cousin tell me, "I've known her [my sister] longer then you have, so, she's more of a sister to me then you are." And he has a close relationship with his sister, something I'll never have with mine because of our age difference.
And, also, all of them have done stuff when they were around my age that I'll never be able to do. All because my parents moved to Virginia. But, I love it in Virginia, it's where I grew up, you know? And, there's no way that any of them would come down to see me and my parents. My sister's bridal shower, they were all 'come or be killed' over it, but, oh, when I was in the hospital a few years ago, I doubt they even know now that I was there, 8 years later.

Don't get me wrong, I do love my sister to death, it's just...When I do go up there, the times without my sister, they were like, "Is she coming?!" and when I said no, they ignored me.

I feel left out all the time! Cliche and all people say that but if it's so cliche then it must be true because it happens a lot.
Great. Now I'm rambling! Haha.
But, yeah, I do.

yeah, I know what it feels like. My sister and best friend are more like siblings then me and my sister are sometimes. I am like, hello, what about your REAL sister and your supposed best friend?
