So when I was younger, 8,9,10,11 or maybe a bit older, I loved watching the Disney Channel. Every month they used to have a new movie and such. Personally, my favorite has and always will be Brink! It was the rollerblading one. I even own it.

Does anyone have a favorite(s)?

I don't, but I used to love them too. I'm not so fond of them anymore but when I was younger I just loved them. I remember one about a white girl from South Africa going to live with a black family in America during the 60s or 70s. I don't remember the name but I liked that one.

I remember at least two that I would watch everytime they came on. I can't remember their names, but there was one about this family who won this dream house that was like a giant computered, called PAT. And then another about a boy who figures out he's adopted, and his real mother is a mermaid; he starts turning into a mermaid himself and it's noticeable when he gets into a pool, for his swim team.

I also remember that one about the white South African girl visiting the black family, and being slightly oblivious to racism.

I absolutely adored Smart House and The Color of Friendship. I have to admit that Brink was also kick ass. However I don't like the new Disney channel movies. They just seem so... BLAH... no depth to them.

They're all the same now!

boy plays sport
boy enjoys something non-sports related that could potentially destroy his reputation if word got out
boy has crazy dad who wants him to play sport 24/7
boy has moral dilemma
boy has sports competition on same day as non-sport competion
boy gets to both somehow
boy's friends and jock father accept him and his new activity.

The End.

Notice most of the good DCOMs come before the year 2000. The 90's were Disney's niche, then they just had to move. Despite the ginormous hype and tweenagers loving Camp Rock, it was pretty good when compared to the top DCOMs, there was something that made it seem somewhat real. I'd like to include Halloweentown, but after the first movie they morphed into something stupid.

I don't really like the disney channel or the disney channel movies. Shifty
I'm more for the old disney films like the little mermaid and fun and fancy free - bongo.
Cute
But I don't hate people for loving the new disney, cause, I've seen people like that and it's just different tastes.
I just prefer the old disney.
And to Paul, I'm the walt disney kid. Con tehe

Oh my god, I can't believe I forgot that one. Cheese That was seriously my favorite Disney movie; I used to think it was so funny, I would love watching it whenever it came on. Are any of these available on DVD at all?

Although, I actually don't watch Disney Channel anymore. Like...I only turned it on once for about five minutes, late at night, just to sort of see what it's become. It was mostly The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Hannah Montana...it made me really think about how the humor and intelligence in Disney has just...become so nonexistent now. And that had probably been the fist time in years, I had watched anything on Disney, quite literally. I just wanted to say that, because that's only a show, I have no idea what their original movies are like now.

Smart House was good.
I used to love watching Disney Channel, and the movies that came on it, but the new stuff on there isn't that good in my opinion.

I think out of all of the DCOMs I listed Camp Rock, Brink!, and The Color of Friendship are the only ones on video/dvd. Of course there is High School Musical, Twitches, and The Cheetah Girls on dvd.

Another recent movie I like is Minutemen. It reminds me of Genius for some reason.
