Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 519 | August 27th, 2008 at 02:18am I've been in love with vintage clothes for a while now, but just recently I've gone off the deep end for vintage lingerie. I saw some of my grandmother's Vanity Fair peignor sets and was just like...
So, does anyone know some good websites that have vintage lingerie? Preferably the 1930's through 1960's kind.
Found some amazing websites, thanks to everyone who gave me ideas!!
So, since this has branched into more of a discussion thread, let's dish!

Here.
I think that vintage lingerie is gorgeous, and not quite as tasteless as some of the stuff today. |

I love the whole, thing that comes over your thighs, and has the sort of strap things?
It makes sense to me, but I think Vintage Lingerie is gorgeous. |

My Gramma has a trunk full of vintage nightgowns and clothing from the 1920's-60's ish.
They're really sheer, and really pretty.
But too fragile and old to wear.

I agree with all of you. I have no... need for lingerie yet, but I still like looking at it.

The vintage stuff is just so pretty and feminine and classy. I love it!

I know this girl who has a wardrobe full of vintage lingerie and night dresses. Some of the dresses are gorgeous, and she wears them out sometimes. They look beautiful, really beautiful. |

^ I LOVE the idea of wearing vintage looking lingerie as street clothes! Whether it be a long nightgown or peignor as a dress, or wearing a corset over a dress shirt and jeans.

The clothes are so beautiful. |

I adore vintage lingerie, particularly from the 1950s. Dita Von Teese simply amazes me in that respect, some of her modeling is just beyond words and what she does is so artisitc. I would give anything to spend a day in her closet. I think what I like most about her was the fact that she was into the vintage thing before it was cool. I've read some pretty harsh stuff about her from articles published in the 90s totally trashing her retro look, but she never paid attention and always stuck with what she liked. Thats so admireable, I think. |

Oh god. Way too beautiful.
I mean, I wouldn't wear it (all I need are tee shirt bras and boy shorts tbh) but it's so pretty to look at. It's all so classy and tasteful, yet really really sexy.
Corsets are gorgeous as well.

Dita Von Teese is just...
I love her style so much! You know, I admire her because, despite being in a field of work that gets labeled as "trashy" sometimes, she always looks so classy!
That's what I really like about vintage lingerie. It's not as-- I don't know, for lack of a better word--tacky as some of today's lingerie.
And it's so pretty! |

Corsets and garter dresses are my favorites!
I so want an under-bust corset to wear over shirts and the like..
