Which're we gonna use of my one? I like the re-write better but it's up to you guys.

Oh I love the re-write. I didn't pick out any mistakes.

I should really finish my 2nd chapter.

I much prefer the re-write but what do you think? It is your work after all.
I'm thinking once Tumi gets back (AWOL AGAIN) we can post after we've figured out which chapter goes where.

I finished my 2nd chapter. I haven't gone over it so I'm sure there'll be plenty of mistakes.

2ND CHAPTER
Haylie's POV

My happy mood was gone. It had slipped away as soon as I'd seen her.

When the receptionist had smiled at me I knew something wasn't right. Blonde bimbo's, with enhanced breasts who couldn't even glance at there own feet standing up, did not smile at people like me. They sneered, and scoffed.

I looked behind me, noticing a blonde walk, catwalk style, down the corridor heading straight towards us. She stopped in front of the receptionist, ignoring me to the point of pushing me out the way so the two could air kiss.

"Sheila darling, how are you?" The blonde asked. She smiled at the receptionist, although I noticed it didn't reach her eyes.

Sheila giggled, her left hand slowly coming up and blinding me. "OMG darling, is that what I think it is? Did he ask you?" I blinked rapidly trying to get my eyes to focus again.

"He did," Sheila giggled again. "He took me away for the weekend, to Rome and he did it on our last night there. Oh Claire is was so romantic," she sighed. I felt like barfing, hating the fact that girls like Sheila always got guys while girls like me, nerds, always ended up with 10 cats instead.

"The ring is beautiful darling, make sure you keep an eye on him. We all know that guys like Roger don't stay for with one woman for long." I wasn't sure if Claire had been joking but the atmosphere around the two quickly changed to below zero.

Sheila's face quickly dropped. The warmth and happiness that she was radiating before disappeared in a matter of seconds and all that remained was a cold hard plastic shell. "Just because you couldn't tame him when he was with you doesn't mean he's going to cheat on me," whispered Sheila.

I quickly took a step back, noticing that Claire's hand was clenching and that her nails looking awfully sharp. "Well darling I'm happy for you," Claire managed. Her smile was stiff and if there had been anyone else in the room I wouldn't have known who'd made the comment. "But what did you call me down here for, not all of us get paid for filing our nails and answering a few phone calls."

Sheila stiffened at the insult but kept her eyes locked with Claire. "True but at least I don't have to show people around and get called a skank behind my back. Your next assignment is cowering behind you."

The little pity I'd felt towards Sheila when Claire had insulted her fiancé quickly disappeared. I smiled at Claire when she turned around her eyes turned to slits as she looked over me. I unconsciously stood straighter my hand sweeping my skirt for any wrinkles.

"You're not pretty so I won't hurt you," said Claire.

My eyes widened, I wasn't sure whether I should be happy that I was safe or angry that she'd just insulted me. Before I could make up my mind she'd walked off. I glanced at Sheila but she was no help, her back was already turned. I turned to look at Claire again, she was already halfway down the corridor. With a heavy sigh, a turned to follow her, my heels clicking loudly against the grey marble floor. As soon as I'd managed to close the large gap, Claire stopped and pivoted.

"Wait here, only come in when I call for you. Got it?"

I nodded my head, breathing heavily. "Sure."

I waited against the wall, my eyes sweeping the hallway and everybody who was walking past me. I smiled at a group of men in dark suits who walked past and unconsciously breathed in.

"What are you doing standing here?" He'd scared me again, making me jump and turn towards him.

"Claire told me to wait here until she called for me," I explained.

His eyebrows furrowed together and if we'd been all alone I'm sure I would have been able to hear what he was mumbling under his breath.

"The Company doesn't pay you to loiter around in hallways. Follow me."

I felt a sharp pain in my chest at his cold tone and scratched at it. "Lead the way Mr Stevens."

Friday is fine.
The story has got to flow, so Tumi's 1st two chapters are going up first, then my two, and then Lucy...your 2ND chapter has somehow got to link... with our kind of life. Maybe you could have lunch with Tumi or something... I really don't know. But just kinda of come around to the office.

And Tumi for your next Chapter could you inclde me. I'm gonna be introduced to you. I'm going to hug Cole, you get the wrong idea, you hate me and then you understand. Soemthing kinda like that.

I feel like I'm ordering you guys about, lol. I'm sorry.
If you have an idea's please step up.

I like the lunch idea :P I could complain to Jade about you and Cole being together. And then she'll be like, "Oh, no, you're mistaken. That's Cole's cousin."

Okie I'll have my chapter done by Saturday.

So, in my 2nd chapter, the two of them would have lunch? Like Victoria would pass the bench Jade was sitting on etc.?
I'll get to work on my chapter now.

Victoria's Pov

I gripped the warm coffee mug and let the steam rise up and fog my glasses. Another average Tuesday... It’s the kind that's not worth bothering telling people about if they ask how your day has been.

I looked out the window, the early rays of the sun peeking from the clouds, coating them in shades of pink and yellow. I could faintly hear the birds twittering and every now and then cars rushed by, several stories below. No telephone rang; no one tapped the keys, no shifting of paper. Just me.

I was always the first person to work. I glanced at the clock hanging to the far right wall; 6:55 AM. I took a delicate sip and quietly waited for the morning rush to start.

After about a half hour of letting my mind wander as I waited, I heard someone climb up the last of the concrete stairs to the large office area. I stared until I saw Cole appear at the top, swaggering comically towards his area. He raised his blonde head slightly towards me in greeting and spun around on his wheely chair. I gave him my unalterably goofy smile. "Morning, sunshine."

He scoffed mockingly and put a hand on his hip. "The only sunshine I see here is you."

"Anyway, Colleen," I taunted playfully, "Did you finish that report Boss wants done today?"

He snorted and grabbed my cup of coffee, draining the last of it and grimacing at its coldness. "Nope. You finish your graphic designs?"

"Hell yeah I did! I stayed up until 2 working on it," I said stressfully, surprised that I was even on my feet after the small amount of rest.

He tweaked my nose like an annoying older brother. "That's what you get for procrastinating."

"I didn't procrastinate!" I said objectively. "I had a lot of crap I had to do!"

"I bet you do spend an awful lot of your time wasting your life away behind a desk."

"I do not. I have a life."

"Which involves...?"

"A lot of things," I sniffed.

"When was the last time you went skydiving?" he asked suddenly. I gave him a sideways look. "My point exactly." I started to say something, but Cole raised a hand to silence me. "I can't sit here any longer and watch you work your life away. You have potential to be somewhere else, doing something you actually enjoy," he said, "But you choose to waste your precious time here and stress about a career you don't even want." He sounded so much like an older sister or a camp councilor that I was starting to think that maybe he was gay. I wanted to smile at the thought, but Cole was being as serious as a heart attack.

"You're turning 30 today, and I advise you strongly to look back in your life and see if you're honestly happy with it."

I was shocked, partially because of how serious he was being, and partially because I had forgotten that today was my birthday. I guess that's what happens when you turn into a workaholic; everything else just melts away and becomes insignificant to you.

Cole held my face in his hands to emphasize his words. "Do you hear me out?"

No.

I was distractedly staring at his beautiful face, lost in the brown swirls and hazel flecks in his eyes, suddenly aware of how close or noses were. But instead I nodded slowly with a blank expression on my face.

"Good." he had dropped his voice to a murmur. "Because it ends today." And he leaned in for the kill.

Butterflies swarmed in a fury inside my stomach.

And then, as all good things do, the illusion shattered like a dream as soon as I heard the click-click of high-heels at the top of the concrete stairs.

It's totally different, I know, but I like this version much better. Any thoughts on it?

It's definately more serious, no disco jibing or anything.

I like parts of the old chapter and like parts of this one. It's hard dude, but this one is more flowing, I think.

They're both so damn amazing.

My second chapter isn't done yet, I'll finish it tomorrow 'cause due to my alcohol intake earlier tonight I'm incapable of writing anything good right now.
So just to be clear, in my second one, will Victoria and Jade be having lunch together?
