Kiss Me Quick:
My cousin is 2 and she's autistic, but she is the most gorgeous little girl I've ever seen. Very evil. But cute. Sshe's very naughty and she bites and loses her temper easily. Apparently though, she was being seen by a doctor person because of her autism and the woman gave her something and her mum told her to say thank you. My cousin said thank you and then the doctor lady told her that they don't teach autistic children to say thank you! Why treat them so differently in that way? If they can say thank you then why stop them?
I think I know...

My brother was taught from the very beginning that when somebody says I love you, you have to say I love you back.

Whenever we would watch a movie and for example, in the movie someone says 'I love you', he automatically says 'I love you too'. Same with thank you. It's just kind of robotic.

When you teach them to do something like that, it's like it loses it's real meaning, Like saying thank you and I love you is a rule.

I guess that's it. It's how my brother is.

Well, I am, myself on the autistic spectrum.

But my younger brother has aspergers syndrome. He didnt start talking until he was 4/5 years old and he went to a special needs school for a year. I find it annoying having to explain things that he doesn't understand. Plus he is very sensitive, a few years back, If I told him to go away, he would burst into tears. He has friendship problems constantly and gets teased often. He mainly gets teased because he's going to grammar school in September, yep he is very smart Very Happy.
He has obsessions, and I mean proper obsessions he wont stop talking about whatever he is interested in at the time and doesn't realise that it gets on everyones nerves. And he is evil, I mean evil, he gets away with everything, its so god damn annoying. I always had to look out for him at school, especially when he moved from his special school to our first school. He actually came to visit me during one of my classes which was sweet, annoying and embarrasing XD. We do not get along, now he's 12 and practically a teenager, we constantly argue. It usually ends in violence, which ends up with me in trouble.

But yeah, he is my brother. As annoying as he is, I've gotta love him... XD

My 15 year old brother has Aspergers. He is very intelligent but sometimes in school I have to try to look out for him. It is so so difficult to explain a social condition to someone who looks blankly at me and goes " So, what, he's retarded?". For someone who is allegedly at a social disadvantage, my brother has more than double the tolernace and social understanding than most people, he just has trouble putting his knowledge in to practice.

I often feel like I have to look after him, even at his age as my mother is a single mum of five children, goes to university and has a job she is hardly ever there and it always seems like I have to deal with the constant calls from teachers saying he threw a fit in class again.

I actually find my relationship with my brother easier as he sees things in such a straight foward manner. It's either right or wrong, a yes or a no- there's never an in between.

In his eyes there never can be
