Guernica. Amateur Author Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 247	August 19th, 2008 at 11:37am I didn't know you could tame spiders. I'm petrified of them. I'd never be able to have one as a pet. But if you like them, good for you. A pet's a pet. They make people happy and if a spider's what makes you happy, that's great. Just keep it away from me.
Beauty Writer's Block Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 46	August 20th, 2008 at 02:17pm My friends has 23 tarantulas. I have a phobia of spiders, so my visits to her house are dwindling down... I have to say, however much I wouldn't have them, they seem to make fine pets, she likes them anyway. xD

Since then though I've not really handled it. I'll stroke it (yes you can do that) but thats about it. I dont get it out anymore. It tries to run away.

And you fall asleep? You know humans eat 2 spiders on average a night.. .. enough of my rambling. Spiders are scary. In my opinion anyways. If you want one as a pet, go right ahead and get one!
Cullen. Amateur Author Age: 18 Gender: Female Posts: 140	September 24th, 2008 at 07:49pm I'm not afraid of spiders at all, but I wouldn't like to have one as a pet. I think that if I ever did, I'd put a padlock on the door because I wouldn't want it to crawl all over me or get out or anything.

The harmless ones are alright but having lived in several infested spider houses with white tailed ones. cringe I've woken up with a huntsman on my face so you can say it wouldn't be my first choice in pets. Though interesting choice.

Writer's Block Age: 18 Gender: Male Posts: 86	September 26th, 2008 at 12:16pm I used to catch Spiders and make them my pets But then one day my Lovely Wolf Spider who had about 30 Babies was walking over them all and they were disappearing, I asked my Dad what was happening and he said she was eating all teh Children! So now I've never had one since. It was Piranhas after that!

I hate to say it, but I just killed a spider not five minutes ago. It was crawling around on my bed and I was thinking of leaving it be but last time I was nice enough to let one live, I don't know where it went and I couldn't sleep for like 3 nights strait... :/

We went to a petshop where they had spiders. I looked at 'em, they started moving and I run out of the store to the other side of the street and cried.

One was crawling up my arm the other day, so I screamed, threw it on the ground, and killed it with a sock. I feel bad I had to end it's life, but it should've stayed away from me.

I got trapped in my room the other night because there was a GIANT spider above my door.. I was so freaked out.. then it JUMPED at me =O Oh my god.. I screamed so loud, it was pathetic.

Okay so I have decided that I want five redbacks. Spidey - he will be my baby spider and my favourite one. Killer - he's the aggressive macho male one. Poison - she's like, sly and then when you get close/annoy her she attacks. Vampire - She's like the twilight-type, glamorous spider with the biggest reddest back stripe. Eachuu - will be the fat one. Not that I expect my spiders to fit their descriptions but that's how I imagine them. I'm thinking I buy like a bug cage at the pet shop, yeah? Like one of the plastic/glass box-shaped things with airholes that are too small for the spiders to escape from and like, feeding hatches and things. Or is there a better kind of... place to put them? And I'd have to have five separate ones so they don't eat each other, right? My parents said no but I'm gonna wear them down.
