When i updated my iTunes to 7.5, it, for some reason, got rid of the sound on my laptop. This was a while ago. I thought i could manage without my volume, but now it's annoying me >.> Any help?

Is it the volume of your entire laptop or just the volume on iTunes?

And you've opened the volume control and made sure everything was up full?

Does it work if you use headphones?

Yep done that, and no it still doesn't work with headphones. I might just email Apple.

The volume suddenly stops for me sometimes. OMG NO!
But, then I wait a few days at the most and it starts working again.
Well... doubt it'll help but if it did, good. Cute

If that doesn't work after you've emailed apple, get it checked by an IT guy because it may be the actual laptop rather than the program.

Or better yet, downgrading?

If that's the newest version, downgrading could be the solution. I would suggest downgrading it rather than updating even if it's not the newest anyway. It's likely they've used the same coding in their latest updates and so the same problem could occur throughout the newest versions.

it has to be apple. maybe you shouldn't have downloaded it. have you checked if your computer is on mute? i have windows XP, too but an older version of iTunes. check if it's on mute or if the volume on the software is on. ?? probably not helping...
