I just have a regular mp3, & it works great. I saw the Zune, & I thought─oh my gawd! I need one! So I am now saving up money for one. Very Happy I just don't like iPods.. these have more features too, plus, they're cheaper. Smile

I personally love my Zune.
I have a 30gb Zune, and I love it more than mt iPod that I had.

If I get a Zune, can I plug it into iTunes and put all my music from there onto it, or would Zune have it's own music program? Shifty:

Well, I personally like iPods better.
I have an 80 GB ipod, and it's way bigger than Zune.
Mine holds 20,000 songs, and I think that's more than Zune holds.
Im really not sure, I don't have one.
Well, I also think the iPod is cooler looking, because my neighbor has a zune and I think his is quite plain looking. And as for it having radio, I have all the songs I need on my iPod, so I don't need the radio. Plus, no commercials Mr. Green
I can get any media file type I want.
And I will say that it doesnt have Im and connection to other iPods, but that's what my cell phones' for =]
As for the picture in the back ground, on mine, the pictures are like a slideshow to the right of the screen, and it also has the artwork from the CD covers to the songs.

I personally prefer the iPod.

I don't need a radio.
I preffer the white background.
I have 4 USB ports, I don't really need a wireless.
I love iTunes and with iTunes you can convert any song type to MP3.
No one in England has these Zune things, so I wouldn't need to connect to anyone elses, whats more, I have a Sidekick for that Wink
I personally think the Zune looks like a cheap rip off of the iPod.
The iPod is just more perfect looking to me.

It sounds like a good investment, but I like my iPod far too much.

iPod is great and everything, but just because it's got a lot of hype, doesn't mean it's the best.

I've looked at Zunes, never actually owned one, and I always thought they were a better model than the iPod. Even though a lot of the features you don't really need, I'm pretty sure they're cheaper anyway?

I've just given up on ipod. And I was wondering if it was worth the money?

Yes, I believe it's worth the money. It's slightly cheaper than iPods, too.

Yes, Zune has it's own program. It has it's own music store, too, kinda like iTunes. You can choose to use other music stores also.

Sorry lol but I have no idea what countries Zunes are and aren't found in. You can go to zune.net and find out, though.

I personally like iPods better.

I think Zunes are ripoff iPods.

One reason why iPods are more popular is because they were the first MP4 players (movies, music videos, etc.). And everyone knows the can trust iPods because they were the first.

Although Zunes are more advanced, I still like iPods.

Here's a comparison:

Zune vs. iPod

I love my zune. I have an original 30gb white one that I got refurbished off the net for $80!
These are the reasons why I think its better than Ipod:
1)Better sound quality. It's equalizer does wonders Dance
2)Better screen quality. The videos are a lot sharper and not as pixelated...plus its a bigger screen!!
3)This is sort of personal but I love the zune's layout and find it ten times easier to navigate through
4)Zune marketplace (equivalent to iTunes) is cheaper...not buy a lot but by about ten cents or so..they also have a better selection in foreign music so if you're like me and love obscure british bands but can't buy them on itunes, 9/10 times you will find it on zune marketplace
5)Radio! Mind you it's hard to get a connection sometimes
6) Zune "social" as they call it...it has wi-fi where you can connect to nearby zunes and share pictures and even entire albums.
7) This should probably be reason #1. With ipods, you have to buy the new ipod to fully experience all the new features. However, zunes update themselves when newer versions come out. I have the oldest one but have the newest software!
CoolMore durable than ipod. I drop mine all the time and its fine

Cons
1) Well the new ones are really slim, but if you have an elderly one like mine, they are really thick. That doesn't bother me but most people tell me when they see it "Holy crap what is that thing its huge!" But I like when they electronics are thicker because they tend to be more durable. Example: My fat PS2 has never broken and many of my friends had problems with the more compact skinny PS2.
2)If you turn the zune fully off, the clock goes all whacky. So you can only use the clock if you keep your zune on for eternity or want to set it everytime you turn it on.
3) The software sometimes randomly updates my albums and videos with the wrong album art or video titles. But I find this hilarious because sometimes they are the most random images...like my Debussy (classical artist mind you) album art was replaced with this guy pissing in the snow lmao

Whether the videos are pixellated or not lies with the quality of the video - not the device it's played on.

I don't sully understand what you're trying to say here. Because with iTunes, it will usually update the software automatically as well, irrespective of what model iPod is used with it. For example, iPod classic will use the same software as an iPod nano, and the software updates automatically (well, mine does). So, not quite sure what you're trying to say there...

Never heard of them but I agree with Human Error. iPods update their software constantly, way too frequently sometimes, but you're always up to date with software.

The only flaw I can see between both is that Zunes wouldn't be able to read iTunes format. AAC I think? Think

I think what Dungeons and Danny meant by the 'updates' was that the software is completely changed around. iPod updates kind of renew everything (or when I had an iPod that's what it seemed to do) so you get new layouts and such, but the Zune updates are completely new software. With the most recent update, there's a clock on it (which was not included originally), games (also not originally on it), you can lock the screen with a code, and now you can connect to the Marketplace through Wi-fi rather than on the computer I believe.Basically the updates do more than just change the layouts and ease of everything. (Unless I've been completely oblivious to how it was when I got it.)
I don't know. I love my Zune, so I might be a bit bias about it.

I have an iPod, but a Zune definitely seems interesting.
I've been looking up some stuff about them and they seem really good.
My brother recently got one, he ordered it in, and he loves it.

But my iPod works perfectly fine, so I guess when I'm in the need of a new music player, this'll be on my options list. tehe
