 Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 2481 | August 30th, 2008 at 09:38pm I was such a noob.
I didn't come to the forums until months after I joined, and I was so scared of them.
Although I remember not knowing what slash was.
I was talking to someone and they said they had posted a new story and would I read and comment it, and it was a fanfic with slash.
I had no idea what that meant so I just agreed.
...I soon found out what it was.
XD
I'm not quite so noobish now....I hope.

I wasn't much of a n00b, as in I didn't really say many n00bish things. But I was a n00b in the sense I was scared to speak to anybody |

I'm sorry honey...It's a fatal disease.
My first post I think, was starting a thread in the Serious Discussion forum, where everything was all in one forum and there were no like categories like there are now. |

I think a lot of people go by postcount, but with the new rules that's not always accurate.
I usually judge by theme. If they've got an avatar, a signature that looks nice, a username without the xXx thing, like that.
I dunno. |

Lurking on the forums comes in handy. I get the hang of themes and such, I'm doing okay with CSS and such. I WAYT'd once...though I haven't returned. And I got engaged, although I have like no experience with that kind of thing. So, I guess I'm doing okay considering.
One of the n00bish things I did when I first joined was posting the first comment for my stories thinking that was the usual. That was months ago, and I can't delete it now. So don't think that my first two stories are commented. That's me. |

I think what make's someone a n00b varies from person to person. A lot of people who aren't n00bs think they are, and vice versa.
I go by:
- How long you've been on the site.
- Your username/ava/sig.
- How often I see you around the boards.
- How many unn00by people know you by name.
- How n00by you act (e.g. using loads of exclamation marks, claiming to be hyper all the time, saying "random" things and other typical n00b behaviour). |
