Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 27th, 2008 at 10:35pm Rupert definitely does a great job with Ron. He's hilarious and so...Ron-like. It's amazing.
I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Bonnie Wright. I think she's a good Ginny. But I do hope that it's not something like, "Ginny, could you pass the milk? Oh, and, by the way, I think I'm in love with you. KTHXBAI!"
I'm already about to stab WB's eyeballs as it is. |

I showed my freinds the HBP trailer today and we had a good ol' mourn over the release date. Emma was really freaked out by Tom Riddle - but I think they should have put the line in, "I can make them hurt if I want to." That for me sums up the whole concept of what Voldemort does, if you get me.
I can't wait any longer for it to come. If you could get a hernia from frustration, I'd have a huge one by now. |

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 29th, 2008 at 10:06pm I dislike the Voldemort. He's supposed to be handsome. And he's just kind of creepy. *sighs* But I agree. That line is my favorite out of anything Voldemort has ever said.
My friend Savannah likes the Lil Voldy. I dunno. I guess I'll have to see the movie but from what I've seen in the trailer, I dislike. Not hate, but dislike.
My MySpace status is vanete druse. [and dune trace forever] WANTS HER GODDAMN HBP MOVIE! and my mood is impatient. |

Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 730 | August 30th, 2008 at 12:38am Well, I know the young Voldy is supposed to be handsome, but he's only about 11 when we see him in the trailer. The teenage Voldy may be alot more handsome.
I do quite like him. If he didn't have the eerie music behind him he wouldn't be so good, but overally I think the effect is rather creepy and evil and I think it's pulled off well.
The trailer would have been soooo much better if it had Draco in it though. Obviously. |

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 30th, 2008 at 06:02am Well yeah, but that specific scene he was described as handsome. And I was all like, imagining him, and it was all . But no. Nope, WB is like, "Okay, what creepy little kid can we pick off the street?"
And then Ralph Fiennes was all like, "Heard you need a creepy kid. Would my nephew do?" And he dragged him out of nowhere and WB was all like *SQUEE* and cast him.
I agree. Creepy Music + Creepy Kid = Creepiness.
Especially since that's a main plot. Just, you know. Saying. |

Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 730 | August 30th, 2008 at 06:41pm Not to go too deep into the whole 'Voldemort is meant to be fit' issue, but I guess it was probably more important to WB and JK to get someone who was a good actor and who you can imagine growing up into an evil sadist, rather than a boy who could be on a poster in a teenage girl's bedroom. I mean, I was hoping he would be cute too - but maybe because I'm nearly seventeen I'm not too fussed about the eleven year old not being handsome because I wouldn't really find him attractive.
But I do understand where you're coming from.
*melancholy sigh* I know, right? I mean, if they'd have put him in it could have possibly eased the pain of waiting another year, having that little bit of Draco to keep me going...
Or it could have driven me crazy and left me needing more for my own sanity, but... *shrugs*

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 31st, 2008 at 03:58am When you put it that way, you're right. But I'm a thirteen year old who imagines everyone crazy hot. Give me a break.
It would have done both to me, I know it. And if Draco was in it, you'd bet your ass I'd have whatever he was saying/doing down because I'd be watching it. And watching it. And watching it. And then that scene would come in the theaters and I'd squee and quote it and everyone would be like WTF.
BUT NO. WB HAS TAKEN THAT FROM ME. |

I just... I know I say this over and over, but I literally cannot wait to see Draco's parts. Just certain lines and scenes - Sectusempra, especially, which will break my heart - i keep visualising in my head and GAH.
But anyway...
I hope Dan gets a decent hairdo in this movie. His hair really irks me for some reason. |

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 31st, 2008 at 04:49pm I can't either. If they do it right, they'll be so good! Especially sectumsempra. I'll cry my eyes out if they do it right.
His hair in OotP irked me. I loved it all long and gorgeous in GoF and then, what do they do? CHOP IT ALL OFF.
I swear, I think they're trying to find out Ways To Piss Off Cassie. |

Yeah, I loved his hair in GoF. It looks soooo bad short.
God forbid they ever ruin Rupert or Tom's hair. If they do, I will come after them with a chainsaw. |

Yupyup. See, I think they skim over these boards to piss off the most dedicated of the fans, meaning us. Unfair, I say, Unfair! I think WB hates us. |

Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 730 | August 31st, 2008 at 09:11pm They don't hate us - we pay for their backyard swimming pools and holiday homes and all that jazz. But they are srsly skimming the line of tolerance with fans.
I totally need a large pic of Draco to draw from. I'm having urges, dammit. |

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | August 31st, 2008 at 09:15pm Yeah, but that's the only reason they like us. Is because our money = their shit. Bahhhh humbaaag.
And dooo it!! I wanna see! |

Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 730 | August 31st, 2008 at 09:21pm Haha. I assure you it will not compliment him in any way.
I'll start it when I've finished my drawing of Tom Fletcher.
Back to book/movie... what's the scene out of all the movies that was protrayed well, in relation to the book?

Uhmm...probably the first flying lesson in SS or the interrogation scene in CoS. And also the first potions lesson in SS.

I always get confused when people call the first book SS. It's PS to us Brits and I sit there for a minute going, "wha'?"

And what about you? What are your scenes?
And I so didn't pick mine according to characters.
Nuh-uh.

I'm not sure. I also agree with the flying lesson thing, and I think the dragon task in GoF was pretty good too. I also loved the Harry/Draco duelling scene in CoS.

Age: 13 Gender: Male Posts: 1897 | September 2nd, 2008 at 09:47pm Ohhh, the dueling scene I really liked. Especially when Draco fell and then he looks up at Snape really slowly with like, this face of pure ridicule and helplessness on his face as he gets picked up. It vanishes after he's pushed back out into the dueling zone or whatever, but I see that face and I'm just like, |

Age: 23 Gender: Male Posts: 730 | September 2nd, 2008 at 10:49pm I know! I seriously need to watch that film, I still haven't done so since I bought it. I have all these free periods going to waste at school... *sigh*
RE the pushing back of the release date, I found this thing on mugglenet that I posted on the HBP Movie thread. Not satisfied with it, tbh. |
