| C_annibal Ink Slinger Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 786 | Eddie Izzard.: Ahhhh no .... "BMTH" are no where near death metal or deathcore and "DWP" is def not death metal. |
| The Piper Ink Slinger Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 833 | C_annibal: Yeah. What are they, metalcore or something like that? |
| C_annibal Ink Slinger Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 786 | Yeah, metalcore ... I don't know where people get death metal from when they talk about bands like Bullet, honestly. |
| Fallen From Grace <33 Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 7800 | C_annibal: Wow, Bullet certainly aren't death metal. Metalcore I think would be the best way of describing them. Some of the song's on The Poison are pretty emo in my opinion too. |
| adalia-x Cliché Catastrophe Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 371 | Bullet For My Valentine are my favourite "metal" band (they're my favourite of any genre) followed by Bring Me The Horizon and then Parkway Drive. The thing that confuses me when people label bands as metalcore is the fact that the label is given to both BFMV and BMTH when they sound completely different, bmth don't sing ever, bfmv do. Bring Me the Horizon is a lot heavier I think and should be given a different genre to fall under, I don't know what though. |
| Fallen From Grace <33 Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 7800 | adalia-x: You're right actually they do sound very different but then again Bring Me The Horizon couldn't possibly fit into many other genres of metal. I'd say they're a metalcore/screamo mix. But yeah, I like Bullet. ![]() |
| Serenity Amateur Author Age: 18 Gender: Female Posts: 272 | BFMV have always been, to me, a half-and-half mix of Trivium [Yey!] and Avenged Sevenfold [Ugh...] so they're okay. Not great, just okay. As for BMTH, I haven't listened to much of their music, but just enough to know I don't like them. Another scream-throughout-the-entire-song band. If I had to label them, based on what I've heard, I'd probably go with what Fallen From Grace said. Somewhere along the lines of screamo/metalcore, maybe a bit of hardcore, I'm not really sure... |
| Kisscut Writer's Block Age: 18 Gender: Female Posts: 65 | Oooh! Nightwish! Though I haven't been listening to them lately. Not really much of a 'metal' fan, I like more Industrial music, but I suppose Nine Inch Nails does count (?????) since according to HMV they're a metal band. |
| C_annibal Ink Slinger Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 786 | Kisscut27: Nah NIN ain't metal, NIN is industrial, you can hear it in their music, there really isn't any metal element in there. I love NIN though |
| Serenity Amateur Author Age: 18 Gender: Female Posts: 272 | I suppose NIN could be slightly metal... But they definitely have more of an Industrial/Technical edge. I need to get more of their stuff, actually... |

| RedWhiteAndCrue Writer's Block Age: 14 Gender: Female Posts: 2 | OMG! Somebody out there likes Motley Crue! They are my all-time fave band. Saints Of Los Angeles is totally some of their best material. I also like: Megadeth Tool Skid Row Ugly Kid Joe Job For A Cowboy (even though they aren't metal, but hey....) The Sweet (Glam Rock) Great White Kiss Poison Warrant Acca Dacca AeroSmith Alice Cooper Cinderella Guns N' Roses Iron Maiden Judas Priest P.s : I have this thing where I am totally freaked out by Ozzy, he is just the most creepy man alive. |

| the end. Amateur Author Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 239 | Tool. Guns 'N Roses. Pantera. Lacuna Coil. Arch Enemy [though they are Death Metal] Avenged Sevenfold. I Killed The Prom Queen [which is more metalcore but I still love 'em] Metal used to be the sole genre I would listen too. -.- |
| bert. Cliché Catastrophe Age: 18 Gender: Female Posts: 654 | avenged sevenfold. hah, how could i forget about them? they're awesome as hell too ^^ i really like afterlife and almost easy. those songs are rad. (: |
| the end. Amateur Author Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 239 | Avenged is my favourite band. But I far prefer their older stuff off Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking The Fallen. Radiant Eclipse and Second Heartbeat are just wonderful. I went through a time of hating their self-titled. Eventually it grew on me though and now I like it. |
