BMTH are death metal/hardcore (hence, deathcore. although, recently their sound is more like metalcore) and Devil Wears Prada are death metal
Dance Gavin Dance are just post-hardcore though.
Ahhhh no .... "BMTH" are no where near death metal or deathcore and "DWP" is def not death metal. |

Wow, Bullet certainly aren't death metal. Metalcore I think would be the best way of describing them. Some of the song's on The Poison are pretty emo in my opinion too. |

The thing that confuses me when people label bands as metalcore is the fact that the label is given to both BFMV and BMTH when they sound completely different, bmth don't sing ever, bfmv do. Bring Me the Horizon is a lot heavier I think and should be given a different genre to fall under, I don't know what though. |

You're right actually they do sound very different but then again Bring Me The Horizon couldn't possibly fit into many other genres of metal. I'd say they're a metalcore/screamo mix. But yeah, I like Bullet.  |

Posts: 272 | September 10th, 2008 at 03:02pm BFMV have always been, to me, a half-and-half mix of Trivium [Yey!] and Avenged Sevenfold [Ugh...] so they're okay. Not great, just okay.
As for BMTH, I haven't listened to much of their music, but just enough to know I don't like them. Another scream-throughout-the-entire-song band. If I had to label them, based on what I've heard, I'd probably go with what Fallen From Grace said. Somewhere along the lines of screamo/metalcore, maybe a bit of hardcore, I'm not really sure... |

Nah NIN ain't metal, NIN is industrial, you can hear it in their music, there really isn't any metal element in there. I love NIN though |

But I far prefer their older stuff off Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking The Fallen. Radiant Eclipse and Second Heartbeat are just wonderful.
I went through a time of hating their self-titled.
Eventually it grew on me though and now I like it. |
