THE NARRATIVE STREAM OF A SPECIFIC CHARACTER?

OMFG.

So many big words. Twitch.

Oh, I see, I see. You mean like the entire story is "Merlin did this" and "Merlin did that", or is it "Merlin did this" and then later on "Arthur was having a mad rave party in the stables and everyone except Merlin was invited"?

If that's what you mean, I think we should do whatever we need to do, instead of writing it all with a set perspective. Go with the flow. Weird.

Hmmmmm. What period is Merlin set in, do you think? Like, the year ... 'Cause that's always a good starting point for research. Think. Websites are saying the 5th century AD but that sounds a bit early to me ... Twitch.

Page claim for having cold toes. And also, for the first page claim on this thread eva.

No, I mean like in the short story Majed by Leila Aboulela. The story is third person, though you see it as if through a character's eyes. Like, his stream of thought and emotions and feelings towards everything. Is that better sense to you?

I'll have a research for the historical side if you'd like? If you were to focus on the characters?

Ahhh, I see. Yes.

So, if you have a research fit, I'll have a character fit and we'll be all having fits at the same time.

Sorry, I'm slightly hyper right now. XD.

[ I just got an idea for NaNoWriMo. Finally. ]

That's OK.

I'm going in the bath now, so if I don't reply it's because I'm soaking up the waters. Weird.

No problem. Cute

Okay, so here's what I've found out:

King Arthur is a legendary British leader who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defence of Britain against the Saxon invaders in the early 6th century.

HOWEVER:

The sparse historical background of Arthur is gleaned from various sources, including the Annales Cambriae, the Historia Brittonum, and the writings of Gildas. Arthur's name also occurs in early poetic sources such as Y Gododdin.

Well that seems confusing. Twitch.

I'm sure we can work from that, though. Weird.

I was thinking about characters today, actually.

Weird stuff. Twitch.

OK, so we have your standard Merlin, Arthur, Morgana, etc., etc.

Then we have the ruthless conman William and his accomplice Edward.

And then I got nuthin. Coffee.

Still thinking, though. OMGYES.

William and Edward, I'm presuming as I do not remember them, are original characters?

I didn't have much time to think about the setting, but I was thinking we could keep it in the six century, or take it forward a few.

EDIT: Also, I posted on Mibba's Home For Wayward Teens..

Cool. Going in the bath nao.

Yeah, they're original. Weird. They con Uther out of LOADS of money somehow and Merlin's like "they're conmen. Coffee." and Arthur's like "no they're not, silly boy. Rolling Eyes".

Okay, that sounds good. So, what about the festival? It could be a joust and entertainment afterwards?

Back. I haven't found much more, apart from the Wikipedia page, but I'll see if I can pull any threads together at school tomorrow - note, however, this is a big effort as we don't get taught about King Arthur and the "Knights of the Round Table."

Also, I'm going in the shower shortly so if you reply and I don't that's where I am.
