My best friend has leukemia. He found out he had it around a year ago, and it's been rough on him, but the way he's handled it has been just incredible. I mean..to be 16, and to have lived through two bouts of cancer, and still have the attitude he has.. No He's incredible.

Cancer's a really close issue for me..my grandad died of cancer, and my cousin had leukemia. I only have six cousins, so we're all super close, so that was really hard.

I've been working for CanTeen since Trev (my best friend) got sick, it's this great charity for teens who have cancer or have gone into remission. It's really just a support group - y'know, take the kids out on trips and stuff, and visit them in hospital, things like that. I met Ania, a girl with leukemia through it, and it turns out we're both going to be starting in the same new school in September, so I'm excited!

one of my best friends has recently been told by his doctors that they suspect he has cancer, but he hasn't told me what sort, and hasn't spoken to me since. i'm really worried for him, cause alot of his family have had cancer, with 2 dying in the last year. we used to talk about it, cause my gran died of cancer afew years ago (i found out this year that t had spread loads at the point she died :(), but i don't know what i can say to him anymore, or how to get him talking again. i really miss talking to him, and i don't even know if i should be uber worried about him.

My mum had breast cancer a couple of years ago, but after the chemo and radiotherapy, etc., it seemed to be gone. Now, according to the doctors, it has a high risk of coming back because it's probably genetic.
When my mum first told me, I wasn't too scared, but we were fighting a couple of weeks ago and she said "You should be trying harder with our relationship! We never know how long we have left, especially with my cancer..."
Since then I've been kind of worried.

My grandma had bone cancer and died 8 years ago. I found out last year that I had a medium sized brain tumor that was successfully removed but the chemo therapy blew big time. I feel so much better now but my hair is taking for ever to grow and a lot of people have been teasing me by calling me a Dyke. :l.

My friend's mom died of cancer, and his dad had left them when his mom was still pregnant with his little brother. I would never say this to him, but it really screwed him up. His ex girlfriend recently had his baby. He drinks, & smokes. Other then that, though, I admire him. He never seems sad.

Well, there is a chance I could end up with cancer, because of the disease I have. Hopefully that does not happen, as I dont think I will survive :(

My nan had leukaemia and had to have one of her kidneys removed. I'm just glad she made it through. I don't know what I'd do if I lost someone due to cancer. One of my old friends lost her mum to cancer a few years ago. I still find it hard to believe.

My grandmother had breast cancer and died about a year after my dad introduced my mom to her.
She didn't get to see her son ger married- or her daughter for that matter.
My mom wanted to name me after her because the few time she met her she was one of the most caring people she had ever met.
I'm sad me or my brother never met her.

Last summer my other grandmother (my mom's mom) was diagnosed with Breast cancer also, she survieved.
Went though Chemo and whatnot.

Later in life my mom wants me to get tests done to make sure it's not genetic, and will lead on to me, seeing as both my grandmothers had it.

I really hate Cancer. Mad
