What to do when your best friend has a panic attack?
I didn't even know she has them.
Really, if she has a panic attack somewhere (idk, in a hotel on vacation, or somewhere else), what should I do? Just tell her to breathe and calm down or what???? I don't want to just stand there like a trash can, looking at my friend when that happens to her. I wanna do something to help her calm down and stop shivering.

Well, these days are pretty nice if you don't count the panic attack problem. I even became a better friend with my schoolmate. He was like an outsider last year ^^, but he can be very talkative. We were in the school library (don't ask. it was something for english reading badge), and then we stayed there the whole hour, picking out books and chatting about them. =)
That sounded kinda geeky, haha. But it's not. He even has a similar taste in music as I do! =D
Well, after school I told my friend about what happenned and she was already "Oooooooh reallyy? *evil grin* Don't you tell... *sings Love is in the air*"
ANYWAY, I was hyper the whole day and now I have a stomachache because I was laughing too much today. =)
That'd be it... Oh and please suggest something about "the attacks".

What I do when I get a panic attack is just try to breathe as much as I can.
If I can I run out for fresh air and just try to calm down.
But I'm the kind of person that doesn't want anyone to know if I'm feeling that way.
I guess all you can do is hold her hand or hug her and talk her through it.
Like tell her to breathe, let her know that things will be okay and that she can lean on you anytime.
Omg, I just noticed you are Slovenian!
Me too! XD
Oh the ignorance of thinking I was the only one here!
..and why the hell am I still typing this in English?!

Get her to focus on something stable and unmoving, like a piece of furniture. She needs something that can bring her mind back into the present reality. Panic attacks are basically taking one thought, but expanding on it mentally until it gets out of control (hence the panicking). Breathe slowly and deeply. Hold her hand if you need to, just to help her focus more. Just keep reminding her that the feelings will pass.

My younger brother and best friend ever has panic attacks. What I usually do is remind her (yes, her. No sex change involved, don't ask) that everything will be fine, and tell her to breathe.
